Well yeah, but I don't want to have to purposefully slam my helicopter into a ship just to get a higher score-hopefully there's none of that in this game!ROBOTRON wrote:WOW! A heli shooter....cool! Screen shots look great...and if its half as good as Border Down, we're in for a treat!

Nice find D! Now that I've had a good look at those screenshots, graphically the game reminds me of Raiden 3 more then anything else.

I had the same thought, though there is something a bit less realistic about these images. The enemies are drawn to look a bit like cool illustrations from an old book or something rather than photographic representations.dave4shmups wrote: graphically the game reminds me of Raiden 3 more then anything else.

Good point Nemo, it does look like your hitbox is very large in this game.Nemo wrote:This is the first I've seen of the game so excuse me if it's been said, but your ship is GINORMOUS! Hopefully it doesn't play as awkward as it looks like it would.
BTW, in the latest video of this game, I'm positive I saw a screen that showed a BUNCH of selectable helicopters-at least twice the number that ZG2 has; that looks like an awesome feature!

Quit trying to save Naomi's shooters from my wrath.Kron wrote: Not as funny as people pre-judging a loke test video that lasted all of 40 seconds.
Maybe you're thinking of the "wallpaper" after the level.I'm positive I saw a screen that showed a BUNCH of selectable helicopters-at least twice the number that ZG2 has; that looks like an awesome feature!
What's so funny about that? It's the truth. As good as it is, ZG2 is not one of Psikyo's more "hectic" shooters. Not until the last two stages anyways. Before that it is pretty slow paced and most enemies kinda hover around you instead of trying to kill or run into you. Except for the boss attack patterns, enemy bullets in early stages move slowly also. Not to say it isn't a well made or enjoyable game. But Under Defeat looks like ZG2 with a more fixed rotation and much faster gunplay. But I guess we will see.Rob wrote:Dylan1CC wrote:more intense.

Yeah, that is true, except where does this look any different? The videos made it look tame. The attacks look mostly like aimed shots, but the only reason aimed shots are ever challenging is when they are fast and/or combined with thick patterns. Looks to be neither.Dylan1CC wrote: As good as it is, ZG2 is not one of Psikyo's more "hectic" shooters. Not until the last two stages anyways. god forbid people give their impressions.Kron wrote:Not as funny as people pre-judging a loke test video that lasted all of 40 seconds.captain ahar wrote:quite funny.Rob wrote:

i dont understand when people bitch about people giving their impression from some vids. dont post your opinions unless they're positive.
Because here the helicopter can only tilt at smaller angles unlike ZG where you can move and aim anywhere in a full circle which places emphasis on moving all over the screen.Rob wrote:Yeah, that is true, except where does this look any different? It is if that means my ship is fenced in more when surrounded.Rob wrote:So moving less is more hectic? Yeah but Kron has a point about people judging an entire game on a small video segment of a game. How many more times are we going to go through "OMG teh gamezorz suckzorz!!" JUST after the FIRST friggin' video?? People complain about this because it's happened so many times in the past year alone that it's ridiculous. And then when (or if) the game is good, then everyone jumps on the bandwagon with that as well! You don't see anything wrong with that? The vagrant wrote:god forbid people give their impressions.Kron wrote:Not as funny as people pre-judging a loke test video that lasted all of 40 seconds.captain ahar wrote: quite funny.

And I'm sorry, but you don't own this site, and people have the right to post their opinions, positive, or negative, about games.

i dont get it, you post something on an internet discussion message board, the point is to get discussion.
if the game seems bad to someone on the video, why shouldnt he be able to express it.
of course its not a definitive review of the game, its just a first impression, dont act dumber than you are.
the game could turn out better than expected, or worse.
hell when i saw the MGS3 trailers, i tought it was going to be the best game in the world, but when i played it, i ended up mildly dissapointed.
and about the irony thing, i kinda understand what kron wanted to say, and it all makes it worse. (hint: sarcasm)
edit: and if i just posted "OMG THIS GAME LOOKS AWESOME I CANT WAIT!1" would people still bitch? why the double standart?
