It costs pocket change.

This is why everyone makes back massagers.

There's another XNA shooter up now, this one's called X-Over and seems like an R-Type clone with more bullets - it's available for 240MS points;

http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-GB/games ... 258550290/

While the music and presentation are pretty good, the background is fugly (although i'm not sure if it ever changes as I only have the trial) and the weaponry seems to lack power - still feels a ton more playable than Ultimate Sacrifice.

Changed the name of the thread so we can use this to announce all new XNA shmups.
No matter how good a game is, somebody will always hate it. No matter how bad a game is, somebody will always love it.

The game is not that bad actually. It's a shame that it lasts 3 minutes but atleast if you were to compare it to say star soldier on the wii, atleast there are ways to increase your score...this, seems kinda straight forward, shoot all the ships. Plus i got like 7 "achievements" on the trial...if this were an actual game though, i'd probably buy it.

So any chance that maybe we could see the Touhou Project series on XNA? I've been hoping they'd jump to XBLA at some point but barring that occurring maybe Zun would consider bringing them to XBLA. They could probably port one title every 1-2 months and stomp everything else on XNA. Anyway we can let Zun know we'd like this to happen?

Never said it was likely...just would be cool. Actually I'd rather they do proper XBLA releases, but that's also fairly unlikely I think. Just tossing the idea out there, that's all.

I understand. I'm just stating the obvious. I would have hard time MS would take such a "risk" unless someone who worked there knew the series and pushed for it. There are a ton of games on XBLA. Not all those games sold well. Touhou games could push more than 25% of the games on XBLA, but that doesn't mean much from the mouth of speculation.

I think the US leg of MS Games would decline ZUN XBLA games out of pride. Still surprised triggerheart even came over.

Regarding XNA games I've noticed some are using the Enterbrain IGM -Indie Game Maker (AKA AGM, Action Game Maker). Haven't had a chance to tinker with it myself but it's nice to see there are options. One day I need to take the time to study Torque X and get something going, the current selection of Indie/Community shooters does not satisfy my interest.

I think that could be said for pretty much the whole service right now. Yes, there are some decent games, but: Shit games, made by shitty people.

Its funny how a lot of people have bought senko no ronde because of the easy achievements and end up trying to get the 100h played achievement by leaving their 360s on for ages :lol:

I don't follow any video game forums besides this one and the VOOT board, so hearing about people that actually care about their GamerScore is kind of weird (although not surprising). Isn't pumping up your GamerScore like 90% grind and 10% skill? I've always thought of it as a negative, if anything... I assumed having a high GamerScore just meant you've waded through a lot of crap? Awesome badge of honor. :o

The most intimidating VOOT players are the ones with exactly 200 G :)

I havent even gotten 200 GS on VOOT yet, played single player like twice. Its fun to see people so many people with VOOT as their only game indeed.
