I dunno..these weird doujin shmups I've been playing. Basically you're some naked woman(woot) but it's all disturbing and grotesque cause you're in like the devil's asshole or something and 99% of the projectiles are tiny worms which are a bitch in terms of hit detection.
There's like 20 of these games. It's ridiculous. And now I can't think about breasts anymore because I keep thinking of them being attached to demons and stuff.
Seriously folks I'm talking about a game that kills a man's interest in breasts! How is that not the worst game ever?
i know the game you are talking about.....cant remember the name for the life of me tho....hell something, ya?
it is a weird one.....and glitchy....
It's not Hell-something (you're probably thinking of Hellbound)... must be the first Yakouga. I'll admit it's weird as fuck and by no means as polished as other games in the series... but glitchy? Poor hit detection? I don't think so. It's actually a pretty solid game with a really nice scoring system based on medal chaining, grazing AND bullet eating. Yup, possibly the three scoring mechanics no manic shmup can be considered good without, all together in one game.
And Yakouga 4 is, IMO, the best dojin (and possibly best shmup) ever made. Nasty hentai scenes in between levels aside.
The worst I can think of, is a Game Boy game named Aerostar.
The sluggish speed of scrolling (and enemy fire) makes for a pretty boring game. This game's gimmick is that your plane can only fly for a short period of time; so it must "land" on the ground. In practice, this just means that there's only a small area of the screen you can effectively occupy at once (I say effectively because you can switch to other strips of land, but you cannot fire while you are flying). Anyway, the worst part is the broken power up system: there is one that is like those sphere things in Gradius, and when you hold back it covers your ship. For some reason, this not only blocks bullets coming head on, it makes you completely invincible and no bullet from any direction can harm you. So most of the game consists of holding back, and then flying when you run out of land. Puts me to sleep.
I can't agree with that. Takatis is very good designed shmup in my opinion. One really one disatvantage is fact when we died in battle with boss we must return some large piece of level before we can try again.
This game is very similar to DOVE. BOTH i like really much and these my first's shmups on PC.
Dove is more funny than Takatis...i prefer much more DOVE but both are good in this type.

Damn, I was so disappointed with 1942 Joint Strike. I wasn't expecting it to be as good as 19XX or 1941, but it frankly isn't even halfway there. Worst shooter ever? Maybe not. Worst of the series? Sure.

Tripled.
QUAD DAMAGE'D
gigawang games are kinda ugly and terrible sounding but that's no excuse for ignoring their many good points.
Also, Steam Hearts and Planet Joker I haven't played, but they can't be as bad as Divine Sealing, or B-Wings and some of the other obscure shit in MAME for that matter.
ZMax is a file transfer protocol developed in 1990-1991 by Mike Bryeans (Micro TECH Systems) who also developed Tmodem.
Zmax is designed to replace Zmodem. It uses 32 bit CRC's on file data blocks, the same as Zmodem, and 32 bit CRC's on its information blocks where Zmodem uses 16 bit.
BOTZ PLUS increases the effects particularly nicely on BOTZ stoneware glazes and distinctly increases the brilliance of the ceramics.
And my g00gle-sk!llz are usually ace. Any pics to be found?
That shmup on Taito Legends 2 where you play as a bug exterminator drove me insane, and not in a good way. The player is way too slow, and lacks in firepower to back him up.

That Taito bug exterminator shmup would be Insector X. Not one of my favorites either, mainly due to IMHO cheap hits, although certainly not the absolute worst.
The player does speed up after collecting a few S powerups, and everything gets a bit easier once the autofire (A) powerup is collected. All that said, one hit, and it's back to very slow speed and very weak shots.

That's what I'm talking about. The gameplay's good, but the graphics and the sound...
Oh yeah, Fire Hawk, too.

Quintupled. No Giga Wing games belong on this list- not even the PS2 port of GW Generations. GWG has the gameplay, even if takes a major graphic hit. I'd buy GWG again if it were done in arcade perfect form for 360 or PS3.
Divine Sealing does suck though. The graphics are an insult to the Genesis. It looks like all the megs were spent on the hentai pics and the game itself was an afterthought.
Worst I've played recently:
Shin Chuuka Taisen aka The Monkey King for the Wii. Tilt the Wii-mote forward and the scrolling accelerates. To beat the game you have to replay the game this time the screen scrolls left to right. Not hard at all, beat the game in less than 30 minutes.

Thanks for letting me know it has in-game autofire, because I was really disappointed when I tested it!
I have a fond feeling for the MD port, and the original arcade is so different I'll definitely get to it soon.
Eight Forces, how something that looks this good can play this bad is beyound me. Bad Hit-detection,Underpowered player attacks, cheap attack patterns galore, horribly balanced ship types were they all suck, obese hitboxes, and one of the worst check point systems to appear in a shmup, make this a game where they did about everything wrong. B-Wings is bad but still somewhat enjoyable. I've learned to like Ghost Pilots a lot more and I've realized that the hitbox actually works.
I did great so much water and milk that I threw up when I was little.
