Tecnosoft Sellout

Post by fireleo4 »

Hi there,

i just checked tecnosoft.com and the website features now some new information.

#1 The Gauntlet Modelkit will be re-released and has been sold to a new toycompany 4 publishing.
#2 You can acquire all remaining Tecnosoft IPs (Herzog,Elemental Master etc)

So maybe we will start to see some rearranged classics or Sequels of familar names in the future.

Crazy, isn´t it?

Regards

I would do this just to insure lulz and drama for years to come.

I would also donate another million for hiring some testers.

I really doubt they are going to charge millions for their IP. It's not worth anywhere near that much.

Hell, I could prob. buy it for some spare change and a ham sandwich.

I guess there's nothing better to do in Linden than whineposting and failing to make a better game than Zed Blade.

But there's responding to whineposting. And Zed Blade is a not so bad game, you should have said Andro Dunos instead. But then even that game isn't that bad too.

I'd trust almost anyone with the TF IP aside from Tecnosoft themselves after both V and VI.

Maybe this is a nice IP to buy for G.Rev, Treasure or even Cave.
It shouldn't be too expensive, and the name still turns heads. So a well produced game could do wonders in the genre.

They'd fucking ruin it because their music wouldn't fit.

I'm glad I have to worry about this and not the game itself, since I only play video games for their music.

I will add another million so RHE doesn't have to spend his precious development time reading people's Forum profiles, desperately searching for dirt on them

Funny, but pretty low - even for RHE ;)

Wow about those Tecnosoft IPs.

I want someone to snap up Herzog Zwei, and make a sequel based on a solid 16-bit architecture ( be it arcade board, console, or personal computer such as X68000), in much the same way that Fantasy Zone II DX was taken from the 8-bit SMS & System-E board, remade for the System16 architecture and released for PS2.

Soundtrack isn't everything, but they could probably get a hold of the TF VI sound team (Tamayo, Go Sato, etc) or even Hyakutaro Tsukumo. Where is he now?

TF7 should be a natural for G.rev to do. Hopefully it goes straight to 360 instead of being an arcade release, since the other TFs went to home systems.
Kinect? KIN NOT.

Please donate some money to Playlogic Game Factory so they can buy the Thunder Force IP, we need a Thunder Force VII à la sauce Xyanide.

Because Technosoft was obviously a thriving and vibrant company among the top sellers in the videogame industry until the current economic crisis hit.

In 1993, some Tecnosoft staff left to start C.A.Production. Wing Island and Deca Sporta/Deca Sports for the Wii are two of CAP's games. GameFAQs lists the developer as Hudson for these two. GDRI says that the founding members might have been headhunted out of TecnoSoft by Hudson to do Gate of Thunder & Winds of Thunder, and that CAP did do G.F.D. Sapphire. This may explain GoT's similarity to TF3.

This is crazy news, to me at the very least. I just tried Gate of Thunder and I'm very impressed. Feels very much like a would be suitor to Thunder Force 3.5. Lords/Winds of Thunder I'm not so crazy about but again there are certain similarities. LoT at least had the select your starting stage business in order and essentially shows all the available stages up to the final area, very Thunder Force-esque. The music too in both games while using a far different synth sounds familiar and makes for only better conviction to see some CAP is indeed formerly of TechnoSoft. Not crazy on the whole shop idea of LoT although I suppose it's worth investigating more into later on. I'll need to try Sapphire again to reacquiant myself. Thanks for the information gameoverDude.

Well, I know I have been personally working on where I think the series needs to go, for the last 7 years. It was TF VI but with TFVI done, it's TFVII. And I'm glad VI came out. It gave me more to off of as far as story line. I have around 500 pages of story, level creation, game engine....and a COMPLETED arranged soundtrack with ALL tsukumo works. I have cut, edited, and mixed the ST to be perfect in my eyes...to fit levels, mood, emotion, and story. I have finally made a final version of level 5. I am always retweaking the levels, a bit to be perfect...because this is to be the final in the line....

First of all......there has to be an unprecidented amount of voice acting during gameplay...within the whole fighter wing and the CD squadron itself.

The story is complete...and it incoorporates ALL TF's from II on.....it has to or it doesn't work.

Thunder Force VII:Knight's Of Legend takes place 2 1/2 years ffrom the events of VI.
It is no longer a FLIGHT (5 ships's) but a Whole entire Fighter Wing Called "The 222nd Tactical R.V.R. Fighter Wing...consisting of 20 FLIGHT's each with there own CALL ID's...and one Special FLIGHT reserved for the C.D. (Circulate Death) FLIGHT CALLSIGN ID "KNIGHT'S" The pilots are composed of Commander Cenes (CTN) Crawford---I get into how she is here in my story (Callsign "PHOENIX")
SkyMajor Wolf (CTN) Brandish---He was part of Thunder Force 222 and Cenes Wingman (Callsign "SAVIOR")---He is essentially the lead pilot of the KNIGHT'S as Cenes hates to lead
Cpt. Selene (CTN) Carver (Callsign) "RAVEN"---She was inducted after being instrumental in VI)
Cpt. Scott (CTN) Masters (Callsign "Strider")---He is the rookie of the Squad and was hand picked by Crawford herself due to his amazing ability to adapt to ANY situation with ANY model RVR within 35 seconds
Cpt. Cammy (CTN) Roads (Callsign STRYFE) When it comes to Knowledge of R.E.F.F.I. v.05---no one comes close...

Oh and by the way....with the exception of Crawford...they all have died 3 times and were reborn twice....(had to put that in the story for laughs)

Anyway.....this is just the beginning.....I am still in the works....of the finishing touches to Final level Explanation........anybody interested just email me or msg and I can send the tracks and description for the levels..ending ranking screen...etc....
