Battle Garegga Ver Thu Feb 1 1996

Post by THE »

I just got an Battle Garegga PCB with Ver Thu Feb 1 1996 ROMs installed. Those are not listed on world-of-arcade.
Does anyone know which differences they have? They are licensed for Taiwan and do not work in Japanese region.

You still can get that Taiwan region Battle Garegga PCB region changed to JPN if you via the instructions listed on The Sheep's world-of-arcades site. ^_~

Hobbyroms.com can burn the right eprom for your Garegga PCB to ensure that it plays in Japan region upon booting it up. Zakk's "no-rank" enabled at start of game is another gem worthy of downloading & burning as a cool optional eprom upgrade for your Garegga PCB as well. Use the Shmups.org search engine to find this cool Garegga eprom upgrade for your perusual. It's free for the taking. ^_~

Lol I got PCEFX'ed :)

I already have dumped the ROMs and installed a DIP switch to change regions and I burned and installed Zakks awesome ROMs too. I wish he would make those for APB and Bakraid! I would pay money for it! With rank removed those Raizzing games play like a dream. I'm pretty sure they would be still around if they didn't do this rank crap.

Zakk's patch only deals with the persistence of rank between credits, removing the need to reboot or wait through attract sequences. The rank system is otherwise just as you'd find it on a brand-spanking-new Raizing Battle Garegga JPN region PCB, best played on a real arcade cab or supergun just the way the designers intended. ^_~

Oops  , I really thought the rank was totally removed. I guess I just got better between the credits...damn now someone needs to remove the rank complete I would really like to see how it would play.

Still no information regarding the Ver Thu Feb 1 1996. It's made two days before the official release...most probably they just applied bug fixed in the last two days...but who knows.

True, but I'm sure Garegga would even with rank removed an outstanding game and a lot more people could enjoy it, even though it would be rather a Garegga 0.5
