I was wondering how the Playstation version of Darius Gaiden holds up to the Saturn version.

I was always under the impression that it plays pretty much the same - the only differences I'm aware of are a different opening movie and a higher price tag for the PS1 version.

Doesn't the PSX version also happen to contain more slowdown than the Saturn and arcade revisions? I swear I've heard that mentioned on these boards before.

Hi there,

i played Darius Gaiden for PSX several times and my conclusion is: It´s garbage.

- Massive Slowdowns in each stage
- Less Enemy Animation than the SS Version
- horrible controls and altered hitboxes
- The FMV sequences looking uninsprided and boring

The SS Version is far superior.
