The storyline(s) of Castle Shikigami

Hey all, some of us at HG101 want to do a write-up on the Castle Shikigami series.

I know a good deal about the plot of the second two games, except what the broken translation of the second leaves ambiguous.
(Yes, story in a shmup, lol )

What I would love some help on is translating the plot of the first game. I don't necessarily have to know the meaning of every single line, but at very least, I'd like to know the backgrounds of the bosses and more about the main plot.

I can provide screencaps and such if need be, as I have the PC version(not Mobile Light Force 2, god no).


Beyond that, some aspects of the third game's plot seem kind of vague. Tsukiko(the final boss of Shikigami 3) is shown in some promotional art from the earlier games, so I assume she's had a role in the past?

Get a team together to do translation patches for the PC versions.

Tempting, but that usually requires a translator and a hacker, and I'm neither, so I don't feel like I could bring much to the table.

That's the only thing I can think of. It's hard to find teams that will actively take requests.

Maybe the Touhou guys'll do it though. I dunno. They don't seem to have many more games to do.

Some people have translated Kuga's story, and a little of Yuuki's, from the second game.

XS Games' localization of Castle Shikigami II actually did the original material justice.

Yeah, I found that while searching. That's rather surprising.

Shame there's little to no info on the first game.

I found the writing in CS3 spectacular and have been interested in the plot of the games for a while now.

I have found NOTHING, not here, not at the GameFAQs boards where we had some CS3 fanatics, nowhere but what's already been suggested. I think the well is dry.
