Sexy Parodius BGM Origins

Post by Edge »

In the Parodius games Konami used almost only classic or folklore musics for the whole game.

I was always wondering about the origin of that musics.

And because I reccently played a lot of Sexy Parodius I thought that maybe some of you know:

What are the original musics that Konami made the remixed BGMs from.

Let's see what musics are in the game:

Ship Select = Twinkle, Twinkle Star
Farm Stage = ???
Farm Boss = ???
Bath Stage = ???
Bath Boss = ???
Castle Stage = Castlevania & ???
Castle Boss = Castlevania Boss & Hung Dance(?)
Chinese Dragon Stage = ???
Chinese Dragon Boss = ???
Cave Stage = ???
Cave Boss = ???
Girls in Crates Stage = ???
Girls in Crates Boss = ???
Boss Rush: Capsula = ???
Boss Rush: Penguin = Parodius Original Theme (?)
Boss Rush: Eagle = A Gradius Boss Theme
Boss Rush: Lips = ???
Boss Rush: Yuko = "Schwanensee"(?)
Coins in the Sky Stage = ???
Coins in the Sky Stage = A Gradius Boss Theme
Final Stage = Hallelujah(?)
Final Boss = A Gradius Boss Theme

"Maniac Shooting" = Original Theme(?)
"Am I Sexy" = "Flohwalzer"(?)
"Help Me" = ???

So does any of you know the names of the real songs and maybe their composers.

The Chinese stage is probably from Yie Ar Kung Fu, since the lil kung fu guy also makes an appearance..

I'm only a bit more familiar with the musics from some of the older ones (Parodius Da!, Parodius 2, Jikkyou oshaberi)

No matter how good a game is, somebody will always hate it. No matter how bad a game is, somebody will always love it.

Wow, great site Ghegs.

That is exactly what I was looking for. :D

But there isn't any contact e-mail.

Because I know one original track they forgot/don't know about.

In Jikkyo Oshaberi Parodius the Stage 2 has also a short part where "Shiori's Theme" from Konami's "Tokimeki" series appears.

Maybe the one created the site is around in this forum or are you the one, Ghegs?
