Modification to Dreamcast Agetec stick…

Post by Sonic R »

I just took delivery of a DC Agetec arcade stick and I need to do modification to it! the buttons stick  - all of them when I depress the lower right corner. The stick is adequate, but I have become seimitsu snob since I modification my SFIV stick… and I would not mind to place Seimitsu stick for Dreamcast playing.

But on the topic, I seek details as well as pictures. I desire Sawna buttons and Seimitsu stick.

Thanks for help in the direction to any links, frequently asked questions, or walkthrough in this procedure.

OF NOTE: I am handy man with basic electronics repair and service. I have tools and moderate skill in use of things such as solder iron, et cetera… if necessary.

Thank You.

You will need a dremel or some other device to "shave" the button holes to be larger to fit either Seimitsu or Sanwa sticks. That's the hardest part. The rest is pretty easy.

A few pics showing how I modded the stick mounting area of an Agetec to accept either a Sanwa JLF or a Seimitsu LS-32. With this method both sticks can be mounted at the correct height (bottom of balltop at 24mm from top panel surface):

Two of the buttons on my Agetec where sticky so i swapped them with the Sanwa buttons that came out of my SF IV TE stick .
As said , you have to dremel the holes to get the buttons in , the stick i left in there , i really like the loose feel but precise control and lack of dead zone .

Exactly! I was just watching an early episode of Retro Core and Yakumo was covering Super Aleste and I was marveling at the detail of those huge orb things! :D That art is certainly a detailed rendition of Super Aleste.
