Lack of female partner at the moment makes that a problem :)

Superb game though. 2P credit fed it with a mate last night, how on earth you're supposed to survive the later levels - particularly the end boss - by yourself I don't know!

Wonderfully manic game. Need to track down an English version now I know it's worthwhile playing :D

Try it first in mame. I found the english voices rather stupid/annoying. You have the superior version.

 You're absolutely right.

The English voices are hideous, and the bonus level "hit" vocal is possibly the most annoying sound I've heard coming from a game.

That particular Namco classic arcade cute-'em up is an old standby at the yearly California Extreme show. ^_~

Another cool Namco produced arcade shmup title to play with your wife or girlfriend is Tenkomori Shooting (or it's USA region counterpart under the name of Tenkomori Variety Shooting). May the fastest trigger finger win. ^_~

I picked up the Super Famicom version of this in Feb when in Japan. Haven't tried 2 player w/the GF though, will give it a try tonight.

How faithful is the port to the arcade version offhand?

Cosmo Gang is playable in Mame/Mame32...so that would give you a basic idea of comparision between your mentioned SFC port of the same name. ^_~

New stash:

They all came as part of a package. I'm letting RF2 go again. Would like to trade, if somebody's interested.

Fixeight is pretty cool, btw. Dunno why it always gets such a bad rap. Maybe cuz of the Konami-style pastel graphics?

Desert Assault
Oscar - Psycho-Nics
Blood Bros
Two Crude Dudes

And a bunch of copied art from Japan for various games.

CIT:

I agree on Fixeight. I think its great. Not sure either why people dog on it.

Domino:

Nice pickup on Blood Bros. I love that game for some reason. All TAD stuff I love actually.

As far as my pickups go, over the past few weeks I've picked up:

Detana Twinbee
The Speed Rumbler
Spiderman
Wizard Fire
Battle Garegga

Nice!

I can't really judge it in mame since the backgrounds don't work, but the characters and weapons look pretty damn cool to me. I'm definitely interested in trying this one out sometime.

Congrats on that Fire Shark! I believe it's actually one of the hardest Toaplan games to find!

There's actually a bootleg of Fixeight that's fully emulated, in case you wanna check the game out some more. :)

But because it's a bootleg the sound is terrible. That's more than enough to buy the PCB. Hey CIT if you ever get bored of it......... :P

Actually it's a good game, anyhoo:

So it's a cart and not a PCB, but meh. Added in extra artwork for the marquee on top.

Good times, I just love Cabal-style shooting games. I just wish my one-slot can do stereo. :(

Atari distributed over here I think, but of course it is a classic Toaplan game. It's one of those games that is so bad that it comes full circle right back into awesome.

I have to agree with you on the Knuckle Bash. I bought it way back in 2001 off of ebay only b/c I knew Toaplan made it. I plugged it in and just busted out laughing. All of my friends who've seen it, think its the shit.
