I used to be spastic about avatars, changing them every few days, but then I found that Señor Tuskan Raider just felt right. Now I use him everywhere.

i feel rather limited to mine now, because it fits me so well. adorable baby kitten, pirate hat showing that i am indeed a pirate. that's me!

now i just got to figure out how to work Gradius in there. maybe if i bling myself out with Gradius jewelry, like a huge-ass core medallion. :)

Great avatar, Cap'n.

I've been debating whether or not I should set up an avatar for myself, but I think something shooter-related might be too obvious, yet I can't really think of anything else that would be appropriate (or in good taste). Definitely NOT something to do with iatneH.

I have a new one 'cause I am too ugly for my own good :P. Plus, I don't know why the hell I was biting my finger in the previous picture. This one is obviously from Gunstar Super Heroes, coming Fall '05 [/end shameless plug].

Super Laydock: It's the goldfish on the T-shirt of the main character from the (weird / Sega) DS game "Feel The Magic"

Here's a picture of the dude

I'll probably get an actual T-shirt printed sometime.

I don't usually change my avatars much cause it's nice to scroll through a thread and recognize a person by their picture(Specineff, SheSaidDutch and Captain Ahar bein the most recognizable ones in this thread). If I do change mine I'll keep it in the same style as the previous one at least. The only problem is at some places like NG.com where 5 out of 10 people have a Terry avatar :o

Yes.

Whenever people change their avatars my little head goes all confuzzled. I usually look at the avatar first and the nick second (if at all). On more than one occasion I've stumbled upon a thread, thought something like "wow, this newbie seems really knowledgeable about shmups" and then discover it's in fact Kiken/Rando/Rob/whoever with a new avatar.

And now thesuperkillerxxx's avatar is messing with me, since I strongly associate Domo-kun with Greg. And Greg doesn't even have a Domo-kun avatar. It's madness!

USe MSpaint or even better use MS Photo editor.

Search on your computer for files with the word photo in it. Chances are big if you have Office installed you have it in there somewhere.
