I FINALLY got the keyboard settings to my liking, but I can't even play entirely through the first stage of the game! I get to what looks like the boss, shoot him once, and then...he disappears! I'm pretty sure that's some kind of bug; not even the mid-boss in the first stage of Final Soldier was that easy to beat!

In any case, I have asked for vids of this game on Icarus's tracker site thread, and am waiting to see if anyone will volunteer to put one up on his site- but if anyone else knows of any in the meantime, please do let me know!

This is really a game you need to play on the actual hardware...

BTW, was this "boss" character a robot with guns on both arms (Stage 1 mini-boss), or was it these two platform thingies between 4 towers (Stage 1 boss)?

Agreed. It also should be pretty easy to get both a used VB unit and a loose copy of the game for quite cheap.

Yeh, my sealed JP copy was a $5 Buy It Now last October or so.
I wouldn't say there's really anything else worth playing besides Red Alarm and Wario Land, so again try to find a Virtual Boy unit that doesn't have any games bundled in and buy these few games separately (or if you find one that already has these exact ones, get it instead)

edit: Oh yeah, and when you're playing, expect to get a lot of "You look like an idiot" comments from your family (because I don't expect you'll be playing it in public... I did)
