I think I've seen people use stills from this music video as avatars on various forums, but I only saw the video for the first time today:

It started me wondering: what other mainstream uses of pixel art have I been unaware of over the years? Post any you can think of: music videos, ads, promos, etc, that aren't directly game related.

eboy's stuff has been all over the place in the last decade or so. They have had some very high profile clients -- MTV is the first one that springs to mind, but there have been many others.
