Have you figured out why your score skyrockets during stage one, yet? I guess the 20 extra lives do come from that huge score-increase. I wonder if you can do this trick on purpose.

How disappointing, looks like the wait was not worth it at all.

While this scoring bug buffers me, I don't think it's a huge loss, as it makes the game easier for most people so I'm fine with that.

However, it's pleasing how survival players enjoy this game. :D

On the official Dux site it says:
6 stages fullfilled with space alien scum and hazardly threats
3 upgradable weapon types
Upgradeable force device
Multiple checkpoints within each stage
Super smooth high-resolution CGI visuals
Up to 3 loops with different difficutlies
Risk & Reward scoring system
VGA support
Region Free
Where are my three loops, where are my different difficulties and where the heck is my risk and reward scoring system.

What? You say that bug which is game-breaking is meant to stay there? What fucking kind of thinking is that? No developer would leave bugs like that and damn, even my 1 nanometer brain would playtest your Dux better than your 1 attometer pussy. Dux is officially a product of an epic fail. I'm sure your brain consists of marshallows, human feces and TAR!

How much time does it take until P_Hat and Kaiser are going to be banned?
Where are my three loops, where are my different difficulties and where the heck is my risk and reward scoring system. Crying or Very sad
That three loops had to be disabled, because they were unbalanced at the date of the feature lock. The risk and reward system is already there.

About as much I would masturbate to you (read: 65535 lightyears). Try harder developing the game next time. MAYBE you should'nt hire those gorilla motherf..... this time for playtesting, they sure like throwing your Dux copies at you!

The game is playtested. And while the game is pointless for score players, its still fine for other players.

Do you even play the game?

Non score players I quess.

In fact plenty people approved the game, even at conventions etc. but none of them are dedicaed score players. However, I agree that Plasmo should have involed in playtesting. Note, the scoring system itself works, it's just that nobody thought about to ignore checkpoints and go back to chain etc. which is very unusal becasue in every checkpoint based game, you can't ignore them. So yeah, a mistake has been made but it's going to be corrected soon.

This bug doesnt make the game more fun, but it also doesn't make it less fun, unless scoring is the only thing you care of.

you have to see things from the consumers point of view RHE....

this game has been delayed a LOT.....and when it is finally released the modes and loops that were supposed to be in the game are not, there is a glaring bug in the very first stage that basically breaks the game, and you are trying to make it out like people are blowing things out of proportion....

who exactly play tested this? and how did they not catch this glaring bug in the first stage?

were they by any chance the same playtesters that did last hope?

RHE: yeah, it would be great for you to have plasmo on board. i actually thought you did, for some reason.

the problem is one of motivation. will a player really be motivated to try and learn/play the later levels when 99.9% of the score is made from stage 1?

score is what really motivates people to play. even in "survival" type games like r-type.

In all honesty, you shouldn't be so harsh to RHE. The game has only been in development for 15-something months. I'm more than sure a good part of this time was put into creating a fun Risk & Reward™ scoring system, probably at the cost of balanced difficulty.

And every one of you who preordered a game, you should be thankful RHE decided to accept your money and send you his game in the first place.

Yeah.

How ?
Are you going to stop sending it out to customers and replace the disk for the ones you did send ?

Rather not. But what buffers the most is the counter-stop as I hate counterstops to the reason you're calling.
you have to see things from the consumers point of view RHE....
Ineed. For my customers I'm going to offer a solution soon.

The thing here is, that people can feel free to TALK with me about problems. But the harshness is inacceptable, even for die-hard nerds. We're only talking about a really small sloppiness, which makes a huge difference by misusing it, its very easy to be corrected.
who exactly play tested this? and how did they not catch this glaring bug in the first stage?

You don't know these people but it's a mix between noobs and expierenced shmup players, but all of them are survival players. Additionally, its play tested by people at conventions etc.
How ?
Are you going to stop sending it out to customers and replace the disk for the ones you did send ?
I consider something like that, but give me more time on this.

Why this?

Most people like this game. Plasmo does too. It's just disappoint for scoring only players.
