Another version of FBA4PSP is available:

http://www.csync.net/service/file/view. ... 1222350946

This has the frame skipping that was in the recent 09/23 release. The only difference, as far as I can tell, is that this version will load Guwange.

Overall, I did notice that there are minor speed issues in this version, as well as more loading issues than previous versions. I still can't get Battle Garegga, Battle Bakraid, & Armed Police Batrider to load on this version, though. :x

Yeah, I'm not even bothering with this any more. It's great that they're updating it, but they just need to make a stable release with full options and release that instead of all these mini updates. I'm just going to put this out of my mind for a month or two and check back to see how it's coming along.

There appears to be another version released today:

http://www.psp-ita.com/?module=fileview&file_id=1683

No drastic changes in performance, as far the Cave/Toaplan games that have been running thus far. HOWEVER, an interesting thing to note this the change in the gamelist file. CPS1/CPS2/Neo Geo support seems to have been dropped.

TAITO games and a slew of other titles are supported now, albeit running very slow (as the Read Me points out). Also, STREET FIGHTER 3 seems to be supported, although a CPS3 text file states: "CAUTION: PSP-2000 only."

Sure enough, most Taito/Atlus/Technos games I've loaded play slowly (Chase HQ, Darius, Darius 2, Blaze On, Growl, Double Dragon 3, Mega Blast, Metal Black, Ninja Kids, Ninja Warriors, Superman, Twin Hawk, WWF Wrestlefest). The only game that ran smoothly is Combatribes.

None of the SF3's would load on my PSP-1001, as expected. They would just stop in the midst of creating the cache. Not freeze, mind you - just stop cold. Pressing the circle button as the text file instructs does nothing for me. Perhaps you Slim users would have more luck??

FBA4PSP seems to be heading in the right direction and relatively quickly, too. Boy, if they could nail CPS3 emulation on this thing...

i dont really care about CPS3 emulation, but if they nail it, its pretty much well received... i want just those 8ing, Razing, Cave shmups workin smoothly on the Phat PSP... lets wait some more.

oh!... and im glad they dropped the CPS1/2 NeoGeo emulation... that might end up boosting the performance of the emu, and probably will let the devs of this one to get things done faster (since they dont have to worry about certain other aspects of emulation anymore).

new version of the emu, with improved speed in some games... but still, i cant get bakraid, batrider nor garega to work. sad thing.

ESP Ra.De. and Guwange looks beautifull on this thing.

I just got the new version of Final Burn Alpha but Guwange won't work for me. Do I need a certain version of the game or what?

get an older version, make it work there, and then replace that emu version with the newer one, and you're set.

Is it possible to make a list of working shmups? Here's what I've tested so far:

Working:
ESPRade
Guwange
Gigawing
Dodonpachi

Not Working:
Strikers 1945 II
Armed Police Batrider

And yes, I'm very late to this thread.

lets say it like this:
NOT working:
garega
batrider
bakraid

Working
Everything else.

i just deleted the roms for Dodonpachi and Donpachi, since i needed tehe space, and i already had the PSX version of both games, so not a real loss.
