Is Shinobu Yagawa still at Cave?

Anyone know what the hell happened to Yagawa, and if he is still working at Cave?

I'm wondering about this also. I seem to remember reading a little while back that he was not going to be programming Cave games any more. But I may have misunderstood, or it may have just been a rumor. I would love to see more Yagawa games, so I hope it's just a rumor. (On that note, MMP port, please!)

While it would be nice to see another Yagawa game sometime, I get the feeling that his games didn't do as well as Cave would have liked them to, and they quietly let him go.

On a serious note, I would love to see some new Yagawa stuff sometime soon. But, like Icarus already mentioned, I think that his games didn't quite met Cave's expectations, sales-wise.

He starting a company on his own? Now that would be very interesting to follow.

That's what I'm afraid of.

Hopefully there's another company who takes him in (Gulti? G. Rev?) and lets him do his own sort of game. I guess too many people expected Ibara to be a CAVE game and were thinking "What? This isn't Cave!".

Let's hope Cave doesn't stick to realtime polygon 3D. Go back to prerendered stuff, but do it for HD ala DS 360 (but also do the backgrounds in HD!). Death Smiles 2 just doesn't look near as good as the 360 port of the first one.

Cave's probably the only company making enough money to employ him and let him do his own thing... It's a real shame if he is gone though, I would have loved to see another Ibara.

I highly doubt that. This jump to turd HD was not b/c IKD and Junya Inoue are over there getting naked and having money fights.
