Under 100 $, solid build quality, and good emulation (especially GBA) out of the box. The Dingoo A320 is a promising little bastard.

Shmups on a Dingoo A320
Hmm, dunno about that. I got one a Wiz earlier last month and it's been pretty good, stable MAME, PC Engine, CPS2 and all that stuff. I remember that the GP2X could emulate earlier Cave shooters no problem, games like Guwange and Donpachi. The Wiz is much more powerful so maybe it'll emulate more advanced hardware in the future. Not sure why you'd limit yourself to a Dingoo which seems much less powerful.

Apples and oranges since the psp has to be downgraded first and is significantly more expensive.

Not as relevant anymore, that thing was posted right when the Wiz was released. Obviously most of the programs won't be optimized for it, they were all dirty ports of GP2X software whereas the Dingoo comes preloaded with optimized emulators. Hell, I don't even know where he got that GBA emulator from, there hasn't been a full release yet.Necronom wrote: @originalz

Within the past month of launch, we've seen lots of improvements made to emulators, including full PC Engine+CD support, several MAME versions, and so on. People are working on projects and having them take advantage of the Wiz. With the Dingoo, it's more or less an issue of what you see is what you get, you're not going to see any real major improvements made. The Wiz is much more powerful, and will definitely have a very strong emulator lineup within a year that will unquestionably surpass anything the Dingoo can do.
Not to say that the Dingoo is bad, it's a good device for the price, but I think it's worth spending the extra cash for a better future-proofed device.
