Are there any good shooters in the arcades at Disneyland, CA?

I'd be curious about Orlando as well, if anybody knows about that.

My last visit to Disneyland was 2006, but I don't recall anything of note. Mostly racers and DDR-type games. They did have a rather odd looking tiny MVS cab running Puzzle Bobble though.

As for Disney World, I went in December, but I don't recall seeing much of note at the Magic Kingdom arcade (next to Space Mountain) or the Pizza Planet arcade at Hollywood Studios. I understand that Disney Quest is supposed to have a large collection of retro games, but it's a bit expensive to visit unless you happen to have the Water Parks and More add-on to your park tickets ($50 extra on the ticket, but that's compared to roughly $40 to get in to Disney Quest, and it gets you one water park or DQ admission per day on your base tickets (there's also a golf course on site that it's good for as well.)

A lot of the Disney resorts also have arcades on site as well (I checked the one at the Contemporary, didn't get to the others.)

I played Solar Assault for the first time in Disney Orlando, if that counts....

Other than that I don't remember any true shmups.......

I sent in a complete game list for Disney Quest to there a few months ago, seems like it was updated once back in March. I know they recently got a few Guitar Hero Arcade machines (haven't been in nearly a year, though), but that list should be accurate otherwise.

From the thread title I thought this was going to be a thread about Harmful Park.

Back in the 90's the arcade outside of space mountain had strikers and raiden at the time.

However that was a long time ago when arcades were still considered awesome by the american public.

good luck now finding anything other than "Gimmick Games"

The Starcade (that's the arcade outside of Space Mountain) was amazing in the '90's. I remember saving all my allowance to play games there. They also had a pretty amazing arcade (it's gone now) at the Disneyland hotel. They had this game, which was pretty unique:

I went to the Starcade earlier this year and it was depressing. I don't remember seeing any shmups there. Oh well.
