I'm drunk thread!
I like HopDevil, it's solid, but it's not one of my favorites. Hop Wallop is definitely better but it's not really a fair comparison since one is an imperial.
Cmoon, now that you're in California you are awash in great IPAs. Green Flash, Russian River, Stone, Alesmith... plus you'll be able to get everything much fresher then us. Lousy bastard....
I have a case of Weyerbacher Unfiltered Double Simcoe IPA sitting at my friends house in PA just waiting for me. I'll have to remember to post when I get the case.

The funny thing is, when I was in New England, I could get a lot of stone ales all year 'round, but here in LA (Lotsa' Assholes!) quantities seem very limited. Maybe it is because Stone ships too much of its product eastward, and it accumulates along the east coast with nowhere to go??? Actually most places in the east didn't even have it, but the giant booze emporium known as Yankee Spirits always had shit tons of Stone. *shrugs*

It maybe that the stuff they do release out there just gets sold quicker. I don't know what the shelf life of stuff at Yankee Spirits is, I've been meaning to stop there while passing through MA, but in PA stuff like that tended to sit on shelves. I bought a case of 2007 Stone RIS when the 2008 came out. A distributer might get 2 or 3 cases of something like that, and it takes them a year and a half to sell all of them.

damn im not drunk now but im getting new bedding and then im going to get fucking pissed and go to bed. Its the only thing which seems to get my head to hit the pillow at a half deicent time other than rolling around all night. I predict a few D.U.Is (thats dialing under the influence) nothing wrong with calling up a few girls and sexuality assaulting them over the phone. . . at least not between friends any way

Re: I'm drunk thread!
So yeah, went to a place in Pasadena called Lucky Baldwin's and they had a better selection of beer on tap then BevMo has in their store (that's really saying something!) and it's made me a bit unsatisfied to always be drinking the same old thing (regardless of how great it is!) Let me add that another spot called Good Microbrew had 90 minute dogfish head on tap (WHAT THE FUUUUUCKKKK!!!?) along with a selection of other beers rivaling Lucky Baldwin's. Unfortunately neither of these places are as close as Laurel's Tavern (almost in walking distance) that has some damn good burgers and a few interesting things on tap, though nothing like the above. Oh hell, I finally had some Bear Republic on tap (Hop Rod Rye) and it was incredible. I think I'd written off LA for the lack of brewhouses, but there do indeed seem to be some great places, just takes a little digging.
Is anyone else here on Beeradvocate.com?

I just had Hop Rod Rye out of the bottle and Racer X on cask. Both were quite good. I'm on beeradvocate as well, under the username doomgrind.CMoon wrote:So yeah, went to a place in Pasadena called Lucky Baldwin's and they had a better selection of beer on tap then BevMo has in their store (that's really saying something!) and it's made me a bit unsatisfied to always be drinking the same old thing (regardless of how great it is!) Re: I'm drunk thread!
I'll send you a message on beer advocate. Bear Republic is nice, though sometimes unpolished. I haven't had Racer X. I'm making a list to take down to BevMo to special order and I'll put that one on the list.
Beer Advocate is definitely a great resource--I've known about it a while but I've finally joined up. The amount of info there is staggering!

Re: I'm drunk thread!
I've only had three of their beers, Racer 5, Racer X and Hop Rod, but everything has been solid, just nothing amazing that's really blown me away. The next beer I'd really like to try is Dogfish Head's Squall.
BA's great, though some of the listings are wrong and the hyperbole on the forums gets tiring sometimes. It's cool to see people like Sam from Dogfish or Greg from Stone pop up on the forums now and then. It's good to see an industry that actually pays attention to consumer opinions.

Re: I'm drunk thread!
I had a pretty solid buzz going earlier. Drank a Hop Wallop and had a glass of Maker's Mark when I woke up, went to the park and walked around a bit then went to the Portsmouth Brewery and had a Bottle Rocket IPA and a Sierra Nevada Bigfoot draft, got home and drank a homebrew english IPA and fell asleep. Good way to end 9 straight days of work.

Re: I'm drunk thread!
Drank my first Hop Wallop tonight. Very good although not quite great.
Drinking my first Ruination IPA as I type this. I must say, it's superb. I would buy more in a heartbeat if it was a bit cheaper. Although Stone IPA is a pretty good deal, all things considered.
Also, first time posting in this thread with alcohol in my system, ironically enough. Still not drunk, though.

1 bottle of Sangria + 3 beers + Raiden = a lot of exploded fighter planes.
Re: I'm drunk thread!
got drunk last night, around midnight i invited a girl over, she stayed until 5 AM, and i had to get up at 6 AM.
I feel really, really sick. Being tired and still drunk is not a good condition to go to work... Oh well whatever.

Re: I'm drunk thread!
wooooo I was drunk enough to buy the XRGB 3 finally. It's expensive, and I've been waiting to buy it for more than a month now... so I guess alcohol is the great decider when it comes to my stupid electronics purchases.

Yes? Go drink some more, you'll need it if you don't want to feel the upcoming pain.

Re: I'm drunk thread!
Pain? What pain? This is pure bliss! Or at least, I hope it is. I can use scart on saturn and play PS2 shit on my VGA-accepting monitor, and I can use it for the supergun shit I'll eventually get. The single life is awesome for those very reasons!ZOM wrote:Are you married? No? good.Chacranajxy wrote:wooooo I was drunk enough to buy the XRGB 3 finally.
