Death Smiles OST all the way back in 2007 is pretty good for someone with their best days over...regardless of lolis or any other cave idiocy that soundtrack is quite solid and contributed greatly to the success of the game.
This is a really boring soundtrack, much like Espgaluda 2. I like this composers work too but even I can admit there is far better work elsewhere than DeathSmiles. If this soundtrack somehow contributed to the game, I'd say it might have made an already unappealing game even worse. What a waste of 5 minutes downloading too, so thanks for stealing my time (don't worry I deleted the soundtrack afterwards). This comes nowhere to comparing to Ketsui or Garegga, not even the Extra stage track which I feel is the only interesting part [edit: I'll give you the boss music too, which is mearly neutral]. I might have some compasion for the rendition of Bach but it too isn't to my liking, Gyruss does it better.
Under Defeat and Ibara are both pretty good and at times sound very similar to one another, perhaps why I like this composer too, although to a much lesser degree than the Ketsui/Batrider/Garegga composer.

Different strokes for different folks I guess. While I like Namiki's works in the 90s and early 2000s, some of his recent works are my favorites. I LOVE ESPGaluda II, Mushi Futari and DDP Daifukkatsu OSTs.
To many folks like Ibara now... is it time for everyone to hate it now?
I lost track, I do remember you're cool if you hate RSG now though, but I don't hate RSG or Ibara so I'm not sure if I'm cool.
Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

Just wanted to say that I'm loving Ibara since I got it about a week ago. I forget which thread it was but a lot of people said just how fun it is. The rank and medal system isn't super hard to figure out...and since I've got a grasp on them I've had a fucking blast playing this game. Sure the soundtrack isn't superb, but it definitely isn't bad. I think it has a pretty unique look and I find it quite aesthetically pleasing.
I usually nitpick over games but Ibara's flaws are minimal at best to me...and I just have a damn good time playing it

I'm excited because my Ibara kit is en route as we speak. Can't wait!
I do like Ibara but I don't play it much because I just die too quickly. If I try to play it as a normal shmup, the rank gets crazy and the second boss completely destroys me unless I spam hadous all over the place. If I try to score I end up dead trying to generate medals. In the end it just gets frustrating no matter what I do, and I just go play something else.
