Great. Now where's that PC port?
Of course, that's just an opinion.

Great, that saves me from paying an importer a couple of dollars.

I love how the commentary on main stream gaming websites is always about when is it coming to XBLA/PSN and why does it have to cost more than $5. Idiots.

That's nice to hear that it's arriving here, but it's a flippin shooting game with little to no dialogue and already existing english subtitled menu options. What's going to be the difference aside from that it can play on certain XBOXes?

Incidentally, the above reasons make me wonder why it wasn't done sooner.

EH reguardless ... it's another Shmup for the 360. I know personally, I can't get enough. Only complaint these days is this, when are we going to get a NEW Shmup on the US Xbox360? It's been nothing but rehash, rehash, rehash, remake, remake and remake.

Treasure and Cave need to quit sleeping and beating the same drum. Wheres our Ikaruga 2? ROFL ... I know, I know ...

I'm probably not going to like this as much as RFA, but this is still great news, and I'm definitely going to snag a copy.

This is everywhere. Go to the xbox.com forums. It's annoying. If you can justify to these same fools that there are 1000 points in achievements they march to a different beat, instantly.

Not really sure why this is out on 360. It doesn't seem to look any better than Raiden III (in fact, it looks exactly the same, judging from the few videos I've seen). Early Type X games aren't exactly cutting edge tech anymore, and this game will stick out like a sore thumb on the much-more-powerful 360.

They really should have just ported it to PC when it came out three years ago. Releasing it on 360 just seems like a cash grab to me.

It is, and will be. That's why it's a rehash, instead of simply creating a brand new game in the Raiden series. And using the 360's potential.

They know gamers like us on here will buy it.

How is releasing a 2D shooter on the least popular system in Japan a cash-grab?

If UFO was worried about making money there wouldn't be console-ports of 2D shooters at all.

Did UFO handle publishing duties in Japan as well? I wasn't aware of that.

It's a cash grab compared to releasing it on PC because 360 games cost more and it allows them to charge for DLC. The fact that they aren't updating the game engine to accomadate a more powerful platform is also proof of a lazy effort.

And yeah, I'm pretty sure UFO wants to make money. They're a business afterall. They wouldn't bother releasing it at all if they didn't think they could get their money back. That would be retarded.

since that port its nowhere to be found (are they even planning it?), i'll have to stick wit this one in the meantime. but i do find it retarded that, being the TypeX platform a PC based machine, the port to regular PCs woudl be really straight forward, why do they chose to release it only on the X360?...

PS: im still waiting for SnS3 to come to US X360... i'll buy it w/o thinking.... as a mere reflection... loved it on the PC, but my machine was crappy to actually enjoy it to its full capacity! T_T

Glad to see it's coming. I picked up the JP version of 4, I like it quite a bit more than 3. I'm sure it'll be a niche title with low-ish sales, but hopefully it'll get them their investment back.

I think it's a safe bet now that that's never gonna happen. The Wii version got a pretty nice English translation though.

That's good, was reading about it a few days ago and thought it would probably not get a US release due to it being pretty old.

Doubt it's the package RFA is but another shmup is good. Maybe it will make Stuart Campbell's top 10 of the year.

Yeah man! Fight the system! Those fucking games developers and publishers, deciding to release things in a way that makes them a profit! How very dare they.

Will pass on RFA because those games are old news and available in other formats, but I'm definately getting Raiden IV. Exicted for a legitimate new shmup on a current gen console.

Now if someone would just be kind enough to bring over the Cave releases...

It seems like most things make it over here at some point, except them. The ones people want the most.

that's a fact... and it saddens me, since it's kinda "forcing" me to get a japanese X360... not really fair.
