If you want to make Musha challenging just pick the "Fire" weapons(the missiles). The fully-powered missiles create gravity bombs that move enemies to wherever they land(so they could very well crash into you).

Quoted for truth.
It has nothing to do with "shmup machismo" guys. I'm not that great a player, and I can 1LC the game regularly on Hard.
Full guns, plus level 3 bomb (fires two bombs which explode upwards), and the game is much, much easier. Bosses go down quickly, and the armored enemies that fire four homing missiles do the same (they're the toughest regular enemies IMO).
I am hoping that Axelay ever gets an European release on Wii VC so I can check it out sooner or later. I read a lot about it and seen it on YouTube, which has made me curious.
M.U.S.H.A.? Don't know yet.
M.U.S.H.A. is a good game but has flaws that make it seem almost too easy once learned.
* Full power shots plus full power lasers = easily point blank most non-boss enemies before they even have a chance to fire a shot.
* Two hits to lose a life. Most of the time there is an ARM (secondary weapon) power up of some sort within 30 seconds of being hit, meaning, once again it will take two hits.
* Enemies take to long to fire shots. Many of the non-boss enemies make an entrance, hover for a bit, then start their firing animation. This is the perfect opportunity to get close, point blank the enemy, and as with the first point above the enemy never had a chance to even fire a single shot.
The gameplay is fast, and the music is great, but it's still far from the best game ever.
