How would that work? Cops follow you all the time and pull you over when you've gone over a mile so they can charge you?

I know how you fail I heard the same news myself, with high fuel prices and this + high insurance driving is becoming a real byatch for all the wrong reasons its just another atempt by the goverment to extort money from the tax payer for crap like the millenium dome.

what next lose the rebate? I think we'll keep our 2.3 billion the way it is.

I hope it wont become a standard, I'm just about to start driving lessons, Hence as a new driver and student I might have to reconsider.

It's certainly going to be worse with people that have a fair distance to travel back and for to work.
