Snow Bros PCB worth my money? *never mind - game bought*
After getting rid of my Xexex PCB I am inclined to believe that my once thought malfunctioning supergun might actually still be working as supposed to.
Thing is I only had one PCB and not too long after playing a few games it only turned out green image.
In my innocence I thought it was due to the supergun malfunctionng.
I recently sold the PCB to Erik through these boards, and after receiving it he told me he had problems with the graphics soon after as well (So of course I totally refunded).
But now I am looking for something cheap though likable to try once again the functioning of the supergun.
And this is where my actual question is about.
Searching for cheap PCB's I came across an original copy (bare) of a game I know I like: Snow Bros!
But what's the going price on this?
I could get it for 60 Euro shipped. Fair?
Also offers for cheaper and interesting stuff (yeah I know not to expect mushi and the likes, but old stuff can be cool too) are welcome.
Just want to try it out again. If it would work it would mean I can get start saving up for that Pink Sweets/Mushi after all.

I've seen Snow Bros PCBs go for as little as 35 Euros. You might wanna haggle some more.
There's one here for €50,- w/ make an offer.
I've bought from this dealer before, and he is generally pretty forthcoming when you make offers.

Hmm,
nice to hear some referrence on the seller here.
But that would set me down 67 Euro after BITN too due to shipping. And even with some hassling it would be around 60 Euro I suppose.
I will throw him an offer though, as it is a game that I know I like.
Thanks for your info!

I found it hard as fuck.
We had a week long competition at gamengai.
Link. First place only made it to stage 30 (of 50).

A few years ago I had a lodger move in. Australian chap, great guy. At the time I had quite a nice MAME cab setup, so I asked him to pick any old arcade game he remembered playing. "Do you have Snow Bros?".
Find it in the list, credit it up, and he proceeds to completely annihilate the game with perfect scores on most levels, and only losing 1 life along the way to finishing it.
One of the most impressive gaming feats I've witnessed, made all the more spectacular because he'd not played the game in over 3 years. Turns out his college years featured an hour or more daily play on the machine they had in the common room...

Glad I bought this too. One of my most fave platform games ever.DEL wrote:Mister Laydock - Although I never played it, Snow Bros was madly popular in London's Las Vegas arcade back in the day, so I've got to figure it was a good purchase.
I'm currently debating the Pink Sweets PCB too...
And since I don't own a decent port of it I supposed the original was a good choice to check out the supergun again.

You should come over and play it at my home if you'd like... (got a nice secure set up downstairs now!)
Bringing PS would double the fun.
You know you (and the misses) are welcome any time...

Best I can say is that I consistently had the high score at our local cafetaria when it had this game. (about a month or two

Then there's Mills surprising me the other day, reaching the 4th loop of Raiden II after what must be a 6-8 year break.
There's a Rastan Saga player round our parts who 1 credits that one with ease, again after a long break.
I couldn't do such a thing on most shooters. It takes me weeks to patch together my old strats. Depends on the complexity of the game I guess.
