I just recently got the classic PC Engine Super CD-Rom2 game of Winds of Thunder. I've had the USA version of Lords of Thunder in my gaming collection since late 1994. My request is this: are there any English translations of what both the announcer and the female shopkeeper say?
I noticed that TTI (Turbo Technologies Incorporated) decided to do away with the announcer vocals and the female shopkeeper vocals in the USA version of Turbo Duo Super CD-Rom2 Lords of Thunder release. The USA LOT game manual doesn't even have the cool black and white manga artwork that introduces the characters in the game found in the Japanese WOT game manual. It would've been nice to have more manga pages rather than just the one single page. ^_~
TTI also obscured the naked female characters on the front artwork cover of Lords of Thunder to avoid controversy and even gave the legendary Ghost In the Shell's Shiro Masamune proper credit as well.
Just think of how Winds of Thunder/Lords of Thunder would be like if there was an arcade PCB port of the same name from the likes of Hudson Soft and Red. That would've been awesome. ^_~
Thanks in advance for the translations...

Thanks for the suggestion to check out the youtube vid of the Sega CD version of Lords of Thunder. That answers part of my question. How about what the shopkeeper is saying in the original PCE version of WoT?Ganelon wrote:Shame on you for not perusing the forums and utilizing the search feature. ^_^
The translation can be found in the USA Sega CD version from around the same time period. You can likely hear everything on Youtube. ^_*
But in all other respects, the TurboGrafx-CD version is superior. *_*
I'm just curious as to why you think the TurboGrafx-CD version of Lords of Thunder is better than it's Japanese counterpart, Ganelon. Feel free to elaborate on it. ^_~
Here's a youtube vid of a cool guy playing the Dezant BGM stage of Lords of Thunder with his electric guitar -- watch those fingers fly:

It must have been helluva a recording sesssion for all of those BGM tune recordings, especially coming from T's Music in Japan. ^_~

For one, the Turbo-CD version has no annoying voice-overs on the CD tracks, so the disc can be enjoyed as an audio CD. That's one plus over the PCE-CD version.
