Sorry, but JanLine was full of bugs on it's release. To call it a JP mahjong game is a joke.
Then a 'patch' was released...except it fixed nothing and added more bugs.
It was a contender for Worst Game of the Year 2008 in Japan.
To quote the article, "This isn't mahjong, this is JanLine."

Sorry for derailing this thread.

MBL.. anyone having an issue where after purchasing and downloading, when you try to select either Arcade MBL or 360 MBL it takes you to the DLC screen that you started with? I bought it in-game but it wont run it just brings up the list of free movies, themes and the MBL... And if I select MBL it detects I purchased it and asks if i want to download it again, which i do and it does the same thing..
Guess I will try deleting it and redownloading.

Did they remove the Uroon safespot in MBL? Or any other safespots for that matter?

The safe spot for the final form of Bavaria (C-2) still exists. Whroon's final pattern has been beefed up, I'm not aware of any safe spots in MBL.

12+ bil for Windia I believe is the highest on the score boards. There was a 10 bil & change replay of Follett there the first week, but it's down for some reason (it would still be in the top 3 or 5 though...not sure why it's down). I have it on my HD. It's nice. Getting to the Castle via the Canyon w/ a high multiplier is hard.

The tree went from the easiest boss to the hardest, definitely. Bavaria's hit detection has been masively altered, so don't break your controller the first 20 times you run into him and lose energy.

i keep forgetting to do the stuff to make the score saving work so i've been saving replays as that also records the score.

not really getting on with mbl, prefer the 2 modes on the disk at the moment :?

From the looks of it, that particular feature wasn't thoroughly TCR (Technical Certification Requirement) tested. I've seen this behavior in other DLC.

1.Maybe you're playing with the profile who bought the DLC signed in onto controller 2, 3 or 4.
Workaround: Try to sign the main profile back onto controller 1 to fix this.

2. Maybe you selected a Memory Unit as the storage device but the MBL DLC is actually located on the hard drive.
Workaround: Move your saved game onto the hard drive and select that as the active storage device.

Just to be sure, I would advise you to do both workaround to fix the issue. Those kind of TCR issue happens often during production. Usually, they get fixed before a build is sent to MS or MS catches the issue and requires the dev to fix it. Usually, a title should let the user play with any controller without affecting gameplay and should automatically detect any DLC on any connected storage device. I get a feel that maybe the Japanese MS certification might not be as thorough as the US/European one.

Anyone else finding ver. 1.1 far more fun than vanilla DS? There's something about Option control and massive amounts of bullet canceling that make that mode far more interesting.

Suicide bullets are a pain in the Normal death modes. They're actually fun in 1.1.

1.1 reminds me an awful lot of Guwange, which I loved.

I don't know why exactly, but vacuuming up point items is so compelling to me.

How would co-op with 1.1 work? It would lag pretty badly with the amount of content on the screen.

I pretty much enjoy 1.1 over both vanilla DS and MBL combined. It's just fun.

Not online co-op, just 2-player.

Anyone know a good place to buy a microsoft points code besides eBay? I want to get the DLC, but I am not too crazy about dropping 30 bucks for 1200 Japan points. :?

Both Play-Asia and NCSX sell Space Yen, but the going average for a 1400 pt card is around $25.

Hmmm...I guess I will just have to drop the extra few bucks to get it. The Level 999 difficulty has me psyched.

Well, they cost about $22 in Japan assuming you can change money for free (which nobody can). $25 is not a bad price....at all.
