NON-ARENA based dual-stick multidirectional shooters?
At first you Duality ZF will only be sold in Xbox LIVE Community Games, in the Community Games section next to the Arcade section (Xbox LIVE Arcade / XBLA). That's if your country is currently supported. I'm not sure if yours is?Zaarock wrote:I'll be buying Duality ZF if possible as well. I havent quite figured out this XNA thing yet though, can I get access to these games if I only have access to macs and does the fact that I'm in europe affect things?
Later on, we will release a PC version, which will be downloadable to everyone in the world.
I know this thread diverged, but here's how to tell if you can get our game:
Visit Xbox LIVE Marketplace (Community Games section):

If you can see the games, you can download them to your Xbox 360. If you see an error (please let us know what it says), you cannot. It may change in the future. I cannot wait until Duality ZF hits Japan. I think it will be a huge hit. And I want to do a proper respectful Japanese language version for them. How do I got about translating "Duality ZF" and "dual play" to Japanese, and have them fit together as they do in English?!

Ok... We have it in the plans for Duality's sequel. It won't make the cut for Duality ZF. We plan to have an update to Duality ZF and it might make that cut, but no promises. The problem is coding this for just one player and not having it be the control mode for ALL players. Our system is not set to handle different control modes for different players. So if it ever made it, it would be enforced to all players playing.Rob wrote:Would it be too much to add a ZG2 type of control setup in addition to dual sticks? Really hate the dual sticks for 2d shooters.
THANK YOU. You got yourself a buyer.Matthew Doucette wrote:Later on, we will release a PC version, which will be downloadable to everyone in the world.
Still, any possibility of a tiny, little boxed version for the old school analogical dinosaurs like me who would prefer putting their claws on a disc?
Good luck with this game guys!

NOW REACHES THE FATAL ATTRACTION BE DESCRIBED AS "HELLSINKER". DECIDE DESTINATION.
How about a way to control the directional fire with the D-pad of another player's controller.
This would be for people with dual arcade joystick setups.
Basically, let any function of any player be programmed to any button anywhere (like PC games let you use any key)
Also, is the directional fire for laser only, or the spread too?

Completely customization controls... won't make our first version. Is it really important enough for us to code for future games? You are talking about four controller setups, that can crisscross, and somehow do this while avoiding cheating. It could detect and stop dual mappings (setting one control to control two things at once). I need to think about this some more. I know right now it's out of the question for Duality ZF, but maybe it's sequel.antron wrote:Basically, let any function of any player be programmed to any button anywhere (like PC games let you use any key)
Directional fire is for both spread and laser (and all hybrids in-between) as they all are the same weapon.
