Can't exactly do that. It's tied into the email account you use on the outlet you work for. We don't get extra accounts or any such to hand out.

Besides, while Gamespress is nifty, you can usually find the same elsewhere, albeit with some digging. A lot of the time there simply isn't any art. The publishers just never released any.

Yeah - I'd feel a little sketchy handing out my Gamespress details as it's such a part of my daily work routine. I'd be unemployed without that website! And it's mainly press releases, screen shots and contact details, so not that great for hi-res art.

Beleive me I've checked every shmup that would ever likely be there...

And they don't have any JPN releases that I've seen.

Who'd you write for then neist?

RPGamer, though I don't get to write too much anymore. I manage the news department of the site.

Sometimes I think that I need to find a better creative outlet. I've been toying around with some ideas for a site of my own, but they'd take more time than I can invest at the moment. It's very easy to become jaded on many fronts when you have to grind through industry news daily.

Maybe I'll give up on it and develop a dedicated multi-directional shooter website. Won't make any money from it, but I sure would enjoy it more.

I know exactly what you mean mate. I feel really jaded about modern gaming...

I do a bit of freelance for a newspaper here in the UK, but I'm really lucky in that I got a gig with www.developmag.com (Print mag and online) recently, after loads of work doing consumer/specialist stuff - writing about development sure is good for the soul when you're feeling jaded. Tough audience, but I love it...

EDIT: Spelling (wot with me bein' a journallistt an' awl...)

Ouch. I would be jaded too if I had to deal with rpgamer people and environment, lol. Also the news manager must be the most demoralizing job there. You have the most important work there (as opposed to stuff like reviews, opinion pieces, remixes, etc) but the least appreciation. People just value opinions over facts sadly.

How long have you been around anyway? I visited the site way back when it was on Vestahl's personal webspace, back when Mosaic was the browser of choice. Since then I think it's gone steadily downhill, but I stopped going there years and years ago, not because of the site, but because I don't really care about RPG releases anymore.

I haven't been around too horribly long. A few years now? And the lovelessness of the position isn't helped by the horrible turnover our news writers have. I constantly have to retrain people.

As for RPG releases, I care less and less for them everyday. :) Thankfully I'm not in a position where I have to play them often, not that I'd really have time to do something like review RPGs. Now THAT'S time consuming.

Yeah, people think writing and playing video games all day would be a dream job, but in reality it's incredibly time consuming habit. And I use the word habit because once you start ingesting industry news, it's pretty hard to stop. I'm at a point where I read about the industry far more than I get to actually be apart of it. On the bright side, I'm incredibly well informed! ;)

As for working at Develop, that's pretty neat! I just read an article there just earlier today.

Ah! The Develop 100 - more my editors job than mine - but that was a mammoth effort. If it's of use you can view the whole print version online here! A pretty useful document, but I've take things way of topic! Sorry!

This industry has become 2 dimensional as it transcended into a 3D world.

Does anybody have any hi-res Cave wallpapers/art or know where I can find them? the best I've found is 1280X960.

Also, does anyone have the artwork on this stick:

So I decided to mod my 360 RAP EX-SE, for aesthetic reasons only. Got some sweet pink Seimitsu buttons (see what I did there har har), and I want to make a background with some Pink Sweets or even Ibara art. I know about the official Cave website sections for the games, and there is indeed some pretty good art there (and I'll probably use some of it if I don't find anything else). But do any of you have anything else?

Thanks!
