Is that it JAPJAC fan?
The clock`s ticking.
i think you are supposed to lock me down in some binding terms at this point to make sure you can forgo any of my outs.

you better be able to prove everything, i only need one lie here mate.
Is that it JAPJAC fan?
i believe that is slander, i am not a fan, how dare you.

Funnily the most slanderous thing in this thread is the suggestion that the cps-c was a tax dodge. Lol

I think you`ll find they released an unlucky thirteen.

Second draft of my feature is now up:

Well, it's not so much that I "missed" anything as much as I made an assumption. When you look at the translations, the complete names are not all there (seemingly based on the width of the list). Cadillacs Kyouryuu Shin Seiki is merely listed as "Cadillacs," so I made the assumption that what was listed as "Street Fighter II" was actually Street Fighter II Turbo. You are certainly entitled to your opinion, though :D As you might guess, until I see a convincing advertisement or an actual photo, I will not be satisfied :D

Oh, and whats up with editing my link to my article out of my Fanitsu Forum posts? Afraid I might steal some of your thunder :?:

You may be right... but I'll reserve my opinion 'till a CE cart pops up to update my article then :D
JAPJAC wrote:`Afraid I might steal some of your thunder`

Hardly. I assumed the same of you as you didn`t link to my page from yours.
Well, you see, there's this think called courtesy. People usually don't take too kindly to others cutting words out of their proverbial internet mouth. The courtious thing for you to have done is pm'd me and said something like:

"Hey, UD, just wanted to give you a heads up, I'd like to remove the link to your article (and any reference to it) from your forum post as this thread is really about my research. No offense. Hope you understand."

I would have been completely cool with that approach and would have acted upon your request immediately. But when I check your thread only to see that you have edited not one, but both of my posts to remove any trace that I have an article that pertains to similar info, I find that over the top. If you want to be militant about your articles, post a web page. What you have is a system where you only let people speak if it makes you look good.

I didn't link to your article because there is nothing in it other than that flyer you stole from Summy House without giving credit. I couldn't care less about the marketing side of the CPS Changer, which is clearly your interest. All I care about is the hardware, which is what Lawrence's article is focused on, hence my linking to his article and not yours.

Just when I thought I might be able to get along with you JJ, and you have to show your true colors. Now I understand why so many of the old timers laugh at the mention of your name. Too many ridiculous situations not to.

Thread delivers.

p.s. libel is what you call written "slander," although I'd love to see you try to convince a jury that any Shmups member is consciously lying about your stuff.

Also, none of us own the Forum, so people can post what they damn well please. I liked undamned's link, and he has every right to post it.

This is worse than any religion thread we've ever had here. I'm imagining BM is sitting there, sweating and shaking, w/ his hand on the lock button.

Haha, this is true actually. The law here says you need written permission to use somebody else's photographs.

He did say where he got them, generally speaking, though.

I'm feeling there's a qualitative difference between one person taking some photos thrown together for a sale, and people ripping off each others' informative posts (I have no idea if that happened here or not, just sayin').

Wouldn't he need to credit Yahoo Japan at some point, as I'm sure they have some type of bullshit clause in their TOS. And let's not forget you're citing US low on pictures which are in Japan's space. Gray area. There's still a huge difference in ripping a pic off of YJ and not quoting it, and doing the same w/ text someone wrote.

Good points. I guess I'll need to look up Japanese copyright law sometime, but I imagine it's no less restrictive than US law.

But anyway, the bigger point was that ripping off some random seller who took a pic they're going to toss after the auction > dissing somebody who you're communicating back and with on the forum, that's serious bsnz

JAPJAC wrote:I am sorry that you feel my feature and moving footage of the system has no value.
No value to me personally. It's no offense to your work, I'm just the wrong audience. I'm sure others will find the marketing data interesting.
JAPJAC wrote:You really should of credited every Yahoo! seller for those images you pilfered then.
I may be wrong in my thinking, but this is my reasoning:

Auction photo's are what I would call "internet consumables." They serve their purpose and are disposed of. Both Yahoo and eBay systems purge old auction data (photos, text, etc.) a few months after the auction closes and has served it's purpose. In my mind preserving/archiving this information is commendable if anything. It's like saving something that someone else threw in the trash.

On the other hand, what you did (before you gave proper credit, of course) was take scans that were already preserved/archived by someone else and just took them for your own use. That is no longer preservation, it is theft.

See the difference?

Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

Here's a picture of Japjac using his special ability of flinging his own feces Spider-Man style after coiling it around a finger. He likes to use this power to retrieve empty soda bottles to store his own feces to throw, so he can collect more bottles.
