If G-Darius comes out arcade perfect, your gonna be joining me in prayer that we can finally play what is already a freaking fantastic game, but without the slowdown. I can't imagine they would merely emulate the PSX port (w/ slowdown), and the arcade version of G-Darius isn't mamable to my knowledge.
In fact, I suspect if there was a great port of G-Darius there would be a freakin' revival of the titles and it would be up there on people's top horizontal shmup list (where it belongs anyway).
The rest of this is just pointless cynicism and bickering. Any comp featuring featuring Gekirindan, Gun Frontier, G-Darius and Layer Section is AMAZING news.
Agreed. Bitch, bitch, bitch. Let's at least wait until it comes out before we start the pity party.
"Oh no, my favorite old game isn't on the collection! This sucks!"
"Maybe it won't be 100% perfect, or be TRUE Low-rez!"
Shut up. You're lucky. Taito may not have the best track record of perfection when it comes to ports but they're leading the pack right now for putting out the games that we are all fans of. Plus, this is their own collection. This is THEIR history. I bet it'll be pretty spot-on.
Plus, for people like me who don't mess with emulation this is a chance to get to see things that I've never gotten to see. I've always wanted to play Gekirinden and Gun Frontier but never got around to picking up the Saturn discs. Now I get both and a whole lot more for the price of one game? You better believe I'm there.
