first impressions:

The main menu looks like an Hgame.
Sakura-chan is kawaii
Jitterbug is mean
WTF rank 1 is crazy easy
I like the user adjustable rank and path selection.
I thought baby Jesus was the TLB?!
Arcade mode is ugly

360 & 1.1 look pretty good despite the backgrounds. game moves so quick that I think its ok. They updated the visuals on the most noticeable/important pieces(menus, characters, enemies and projectiles).

I'm not quite ready to play 1.1, need to play the hell out of 360 mode then figure out what "option control" does.

Sakura is playable in MBL right? Guess I need to order a JPN live card for when thats available. So far I am enjoying the content on disc. This will likely end up being my fav hori. Considering the only other horis I even like remotely are Sengoku Aces 2 and Progear, its not got lot of competiton. I know a lot love progrear, just never was my thang.

Wow, 9,000 day one sales is very good news. I hope they have some more shipments ready in case their first had low numbers.

Edit: Just checked the Deathsmiles blog, where not only are they updating users on what they're doing to fix a few of the bugs that have been found, but they note that they've already received 20,000 orders for the game! Good shit.

nice. At this rate it should out sell otomedius quickly.

When you are on the character select screen what are the two options of the bottom right?

The top one shows the tutorial and the bottom does not.

I guess the higher resolution is cool, but it creeps me out never seeing the options blink, especially Casper's bat and Mr. Owl!

all japanese 360 games are for some reason. the black and white disc art that is.
Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

How does the Hori turbo pad compare to the Mad Katz pad? Does the Hori turbo have 6 face buttons?

They're not Wink
really... what ones have been in color? I didn't check on all my games though, I just noticed alot are B&W.

On a side note I got my limited edition today. The hi-res deal they did with it ain't to bad.

I played the arcade mode with 480p on my TV and this game should work just fine via VGA > emotioa to get the scanlines back. It doesn't appear to be filtered to death and just line doubled via 480p.

Wish I had a VGA cord for my 360 so I could post pics for those curious.

anyone did notice that ?

If you install the Game on your harddisk and then start it up from there, after selecting the Savegame Device the DVD ROM will start spin again.

One reason for me to install the game on hd is to have not the annoing DVD ROM Noise anymore so in this Game It's not possible ?!

something they should fix imo in a following patch

bcass:

it has the same buttons and layout as the official pad, it also has autofire switches for the four main buttons, which is quite nice on some shooty games

Nevertheless you have plenty less spinning involved once you install to hdd. I basically do this with all the 360 games I'm playing, I can't stand the noise the console is producing when running games from disc. That's been the best update the 360 got so far. :)

No. You would need to use the DRM transfer tool in order to transfer the information to a new console, and then it would only work on the account which you have downloaded it to, not shared accounts.

If you download it on your US 360 via your JP account (since there's no way to get it on a US account), this is probably what will happen. The transmigration tool ends up moving the licenses of the virtual games you've bought from one machine to another, invalidating the previous.

But MBL isn't available to download yet.

You should also look into ordering more points cards and sticking to a JP account, unless you want to actively use a US account/already have one as your main.

I looked through all my games:

Lost Planet
Ninja Blade
Armored Core 4 Answer
Sylpheed
Death Smiles

were all black and white... Raiden 4, Otomediu, and Senko no Ronde had some color but were still monotone (red/black, blue/white, blue/black ect).
