rom-managing utility

Post by Neon »

Seems like a lot of my shit needs replacing with the latest mame, is there a util. that will allow me to determine what needs replacing?

Also, will they be 'reversible' so I can use older versions of mame, or will I need two separate roms folders

You could try clrmamepro to tell you what needs to be fixed. You'll want to keep a backup of your roms folder for the sets that changed from older versions of MAME, though.

Just run the new torrent over your dir 'cuz you won't find ancient update sets, which you'll need a bunch of, and clrmamepro thrashes drives.

Edit: lol old version of MAME -> pick one, copy out needed ROMs and delete Time Killers et. al.

All the more reason to have two directories then!
