Rereleased megadrive and handheld

Post by DBH87 »

Ive just bought the rereleased megadrive by Blaze which is multi region. I keep hearing bad things about the japanese version made by a company called ATgames and this one looks very similar. I hear that the emulation on the 15 built in games isnt too cracking but the carts seem to work ok. Has anyone here used or bought one??. Or maybe the handheld version?

Some of the best shmups don't actually end in a vowel.
No, this game is not Space Invaders.

Depending on the success of this console, some classic games are going to become expensive.

Yes, I know about the pocket MD and I am planning to get one, someday.
But this blaze MD sounds interesting...

Anyways, I still have a modded MD lying around at home but you never know when that one ceases to function.

People said the reverse was going to be true when the Game Boy Color (and ealier) support was dropped from the DS. Didn't happen.

The market for old games is same as ever. Basically this just helps alleviate pressure on the prices of consoles themselves, and it's also nice to think that there's replacements for all the destroyed and otherwise abused consoles lost over the years.

I wouldnt bother. I received it today and yes it the the same ATgames one which has been getting shit reviews. I tried 5 games and 1 worked it wouldnt even play streets of rage, and the emulation of the built in games is piss poor. Not good at all do not waste your money just spend it on a proper megadrive and a few carts for the same money.
