so this coming to PS3 also?

this is not something I thought about, but it's so unexpected I'm curious enough to bite either way. then again I'm guilty of playing choanike for similar reasons.
Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

hopefully this game doesn't feel too uninspired when it comes to stage design and bullet patterns...aka let's hope the Ghost Pilots team isn't developing this.

Also, I can't help but ask: why the hell they haven't released Twinkle Star Sprites for XBLA yet?

This COULD work, but coming from SNK, I doubt it.

Star Radish > this

If this being done in house by SNK, I don't hold much hope.

Why not? Metal Slug 7 was excellent. I think they could pull this off.
Of course, that's just an opinion.

This one looks gay to me, I will skip on this one since it's no disc release anyway.

Looks interesting... I'll reserve judgement. Prolly would be good to get just for fun.

i think we saw that, but if they were proud of the enemies they would have shown them :)

They chars are so huge so that fanboys will get to enjoy looking at them instead of paying attention to the enemies.

Didnt realise there was a topic on this O_o

The one thing that concerns me is most of the time when stuff is released on LIVE its usually a small download I remember MS suggesting that Arcade games will only be 50mb or under and this was true with Castlevania SOTN and that turned out to be raped to death imo.

I hope they dont make the same mistake and poo this game up because it could be a winner if they make it right.

SOTN was bigger than 50mb. Really that limit has been long since demolished, there's a bunch of games that are bigger than that. The Penny Arcade games, SF2 HD Remix, Castle Crashers...

The PSN download of SOTN is several times the size of CV SOTN (a straight PS1 port from the disc), but probably better. I hear XBLA's version has worse sound than the PS1.

KOF SS will be more than 50 MB. That limit is old news. There's a Watchmen game that breaks 1.2 GB - an exceptional case that Microsoft really had to think about before granting an OK. Right now, 300 MB isn't unusual. For some shmups, 300 MB might do.
Kinect? KIN NOT.

I'm rather surprised that a non arcade game displays in tate.
I think this would be the first time ever that a console only shmup runs in tate mode.

Blast Wind doesn't display tate'd.
It is vertical scrolling, but, much to the game's detriment, it is only displayed on a horizontal screen.

Sonic Wings Special already did this, I think.

Static sprites, empty backgrounds? Skystage looks diabolical...

Don't worry, I got fooled too - and even more than 4 seconds. XD

Just shows how low the expectations are.
