Twinkle Star: La Petite Princesse, Cover art, Online?

Kawaii  :P

I noticed that there is a online logo on that box, I can't remember online gaming being mentioned before (although my search button skills are bad). So is this game going to be playable online, or is it going to have an online scoreboard? Not that I ever have time to play games online, but scoreboard would be nice :)

OMG TEH CUTENESS

Seriously, the artist must have hit the sugar a bit too hard that day.

In any case, none of the other PS2 games with online scoreboards (Shiki 2 and Gradius V for example) have that online logo, so it's fair bet the game is playable online. It's a Vs. game, after all. Probably only works in Japan, though.
No matter how good a game is, somebody will always hate it. No matter how bad a game is, somebody will always love it.

It was announced sometime ago that it would be online, but doesn't SNK host PS2 servers over there?

I need to have this, and yet, as a grown man, I could never be seen playing it.

For those who haven't done so already, check out the screens in this link: http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-80-1-70-mb0.html

It looks sort of pre-rendered or something... just not as vibrant as I remember it.

IIRC, the original used some pre-rendered sprites (a la DKC or Killer Instinct), but this looks to use them throughout.

I don't know, sometimes it looks good (Mars Matrix) and sometimes it doesn't.

Bah a real man can play a kiddy looking game with pride :P

About the graphics, I believe it is realtime 3D especially the backgrounds (considering the rough edges on some of the objects).

No, it didn't and no, it doesn't. La Petite Princess uses real time polygons for backgrounds and enemies and hi res hand-drawn sprites for the main characters. At least, from what they have shown.

ok, check these out

a lot of those sprites aren't "hand drawn", but not pre-rendered. those fills are done using something like photoshop or illustrator.

With "fills" are you referring to how they were coloured?. That kind of colouring can be done in pretty much any graphic application. Stuff are rarely 100% pixel by pixel drawn/colored. Photoshop and illustrator are basically 2D programs so..
