If I was able to play it, I'm pretty sure it would get my vote. Ketsui Death Label is one of my favorite shmups as it is.

I think the best description of Ketsui was given to me by DEL, which was just the word "relentless." When I actually got to play it that word popped back in my head immediately. Being honest I'm not too fond of the patterns, especially the organic ones, but I do love the fact it never, ever stops trying to kill you for a second.

Futari is a sexy young thing. Ketsui is that mature, horny as hell bitch that uses it's teeth on you and surprise, cockfag, you'll love it. :D

Wrong choice of words when you consider the main characters.

Futari by the way of DOJ. Futari took Ketsui's idea and ran with it. The overlimit gauge is just like picking small tanks off to start the counter, and grouping is also necessary. Mushi Futari Original's scoring system is the closest Ikaruga will come to a traditional shooting game.

5pb's bound to disappoint with the port. Unfortunately it's probably going to make the board harder to find, unless Cave miraculously do a reprint. Still preordering it, though. Also holy shit, there's 4 Ketsui boards on YJP. I wish I had money right now.

You guys realize that sig breaks forum rules, right?

I hate to rain on your parade but

Signatures must be a maximum of 4 lines long, including newlines. If you want an image, it must be non animated, and a maximum of 200x50 pixels. The image will count as using 3 of the 4 lines.

If the author of the KDF-image would be so kind and resize it to forum standards, 'cause we've all hotlinked it, right? I actually got a PM about the size, so let's all hold hands and sing Cumbaya.

When playing Ketsui, I feel that when killing a popcorn/tank, is like dipping your paintbrush gently in a palette, then painting the larger enemies with it and the result is a breathtaking vision of 5 chip impressionism on your canvas/screen. The bosses are unwilling Crouqi models that try to off you for looking at them "wrong".

And Icarus, yes that was sorta a poor choice of words. I'll be careful from now on. :P

I'd actually assigned Ketsui [5] points in my top 25 without considering the controversy - the sacred cow indeed moves in mysterious ways.

I actually want to play this. It reminds me of a vertical Progear, for some reason.

Reads like an icycalm review; that is, original enough to question.
