if its stateside that makes it much easier

Me! So me. Been waiting for this every day since it was announced. I wish I had an Xbox classic, sucks playing Outrun 2 on the backwards compat mode on 360. The framerate's awful.

not sure if there is a reason for me to rebuy this yet. I have the original xbox version, and the coast to coast version on the psp.

Got the XBL version today. I haven't played previous versions of Outrun 2 so I don't know how it compares, but it's awesome value for 800 points.

Can someone who has played both comment? I hear the Xbox Outrun2 don't run so hot on the 360, so that's out. I have a new 360... and zero games. Only playing Orta & JSRF.

I can say that ive had no problems with it, but im not sure if C2C came out for the first xbox and that is what ppl are referring too. The very plain original runs fine, much better than fable or jade empire for example.

But now that you say it i really need to finish Orta again. Too bad the disc didn't have Zwei on it as well, that would have been an epic bonus.

Yeah, the Xbox Outrun2 has some frame glitching on the X360. Outrun 2SP XBL is pretty nice at 720p, only gave a quick try this morning before work but looked the part.

my understanding is it is on PS3 too....in every region....except north america.....

i can get it off the UK store....do they have PSN pre-paid cards in the UK like they do in the states?

....i might have to get somebody there pick one up and give me the code

mind you, its still not up on any PSN stores yet?

ive been told UK stuff drops thursdays after 5pm for some reason....

we shall see tomorrow i guess....

both xbox 1 releases suffer frame rate issues with some slowdown. Coast 2 Coast is the worst of the 2......

but the 360 version on XBL looks better with no slowdown thankfully and better aliasing, and higher res if you have a HDTV. Can't speak for the PS3 version.

Shame there's no 'outrun 2' tracks- just the SP stuff. Still a nice little package- and looks very pleasing! Fun with multiplayer- other than the lobby system. Lots of waiting atm.

no pre-paid cards, you have to have your credit card registered with your machine (so i don't know what mrs jpj will say - she's not back in glos til tomorrow)

I confirm that the game is indeed already available on EU PSN. 465mb, pretty quick install, trophies are available (not many yet); the first sessions I had were noticeably lag-free. If your store doesn't show it on first page (mine didn't, pretty dumb) search manually for it on PS3 games -> alphabetical.

The game is 720p but PS3 will upscale it to 1080p if you mess with the display settings.

i couldnt find it on the UK store...should i make a euro account?...i just assumed they would be the same

is there a demo?

No, there's no free demo available. I don't know how to set up an European account, I imagine that you just give other generalities when you register. I downloaded it from the italian store but it seems really weird that Italy got it before UK, so try searching better your store, it may have been added meanwhile.
