I played it on the NES years ago and tried it again via emulator fairly recently. I don't think it quite rates an 'aweful', but it's definately not aged well.TodayIsForgotten wrote:Legendary Wings is an awful game. I use to love back in the 80s.
It definately needs a stick and some autofire to be palatable these days, but the core gameplay isn't too bad even if it's very basic. The repeating 'boss' is probably the worst of the game, while the bonus treasure sections (via hidden whirlwind) are about the most 'exciting' thing it has too offer.
