For the fans of THUNDER FORCE's musics...
You can hear our composition influenced by THUNDER FORCE's musics at :

Either Myspace compressed your music to shit, or you really need to get some better recording values. And get some bass in there, it sounds flat as a pancake.
Also I don't think one track "sortof" inspired by Thunderforce, and a bunch of other non-related tracks with awful singing qualify for signing up to spam your site here.

So we know what Thunderforce musics means.
Don't pay any attention to frustrated guys and listen to :

You could enjoy it !
If you don't, don't waste your time and our energy posting stupid replies.
Thanks.

If you wish to consider this a stupid reply, feel free. However, I see it as constructive criticism.
You're music is very empty sounding. While I can hear two guitars going along with the drums, it feels more like one guitar. There's no bass, no noticeable filling harmonies between the guitars, no reverb to help fill that empty space... it just sounds hollow. You need to fill out your sound (especially as the song progresses). A bass line is a must, and you might consider keyboards for some fitting synths if you don't have aversions to going that route.
It's not a bad start, but it needs more.
Keep in mind, this is only about the song called "Thunderforce". I couldn't get any of your other songs to play.

You posted your music and opened it up to criticism, if you can't take it, please don't post it and close down your myspace.
What everyone else has said is spot-on... it is kind-of inspired by thunderforce. you need more synth. and the sound is very hollow.
and you need more bass.
the guitar is fine, though.
good luck

You're the first who speaks about "unmotivating".
Before you, the last reply begins by" i could never do better" and before, there is a "the guitar is fine".
We know people who love what we do. We have recorded the song to make them happy.
And sometimes it works.
In France, on a shmup forum, somebody simply said "Thanks"
Is it difficult for somebody like you to find a little piece of beauty in it ?
We have post twice the link not to remind you that you're as stupid as violent, but to let people see where they can hear our work, which is difficult when too many bad messages fill the screen space.
So go to : http://www.myspace.com/rolandetjad et make your own opinion.
You like ? Farewell !
You don't ? Look elsewhere.

Since you care to act that way and all of the sudden get an attitude with me about my constructive criticism, I will also be the first one to speak about it being CRAP and simply say it SUCKS, as does your attitude.
There is no beauty in this crap. It's you copying off of someone else that is far more talented than yourself.
As for the rest of what you said, it's nothing but a bunch of nonsense, because my comments were neither stupid, nor violent. Not surprising coming from a country that quite often gets a stereotype of acting pompous and full of themselves.
Go take your garbage back to France where it belongs you spammer, yet again posting your link for a 3rd time, which ironically is also your 3rd post.

Can both sides please stop the name calling? Keep it civil.
@quoth09: Please tone down your responses. They are crossing the line set by the forum rules. If you're not sure at which point, please re-read the rules.
@rodsuleander: Please stop spamming your link in every post. We are all able to find it in the first place. If you can't live with the fact that there are people who happen to not like your music, you shouldn't post it.
There are plenty of good musicians on this forum, some of which have replied in this thread. I advise you to listen to them. If people find so much they dislike, maybe your music needs some work. We are not all big meanies around here, although the tone can get pretty harsh from time to time.
Now, on with the discussion, please.

Meanies and harsh purposes.
You have found the words.
We have sold music demos, we had fans when we were more active.
We have a long past into the music, listened and heard great musicians.
Talked and exchanged ideas with them. We have done some really good shows.
Some great ones talk about us with enthousiasm.
Harmony, sound, solfegia. Evberything.
Only more recording values are needed.
And now we meet "musicians" that we should listen ?
Bass is needed ? Synth and what else ? Music is not needed to something else you wish. It is the most important thing i have learned these years.
Here we found Necessity, and finally worst : racism, where we hoped to find happiness, and a joyfull community.
I won't forget a lot of people clicked here without speaking and some others liked what we've done.
It is the last post and the last time we come here.
Shoot'them up guys are not necessarly your friends ! SAD ! But true !

rodsuleander- Right now, you're basically doing the on-line version of sticking your fingers in your ears and going "LA LA LA I CAN"T HEAR YOU LA LA LA!". You've touted about how many people love you and your music, but that's not going to change what folks here feel is problematic with it. If others love your music, that's wonderful... and no, I'm not being sarcastic. It's a nice feeling to hear from someone who likes what you did. But trying to silence those who don't by talking about those who do isn't a very professional way to go about things. Metallica caught untold amounts of hell with St. Anger, and we all know how good they can be, and well known they are. What leads you to believe you're above being criticized when they aren't?
So yes, some us "musicians" as you so politely put it, heard problems with your music, and tried to offer up some advice on how to possibly give it a boost. If that's so offensive to you, then I don't know what else to say beyond this...
When you open up your art to rest of the world, you invite both complements and criticism. If you only expect the first, then you're fooling yourself. If you can't handle the second, then you may as well keep your art locked away. No amount of explanation or self pimping is going to turn away the critics if they feel something's not right. I've been working in the visual arts for a long while (and dabbling in remixing and original music for about seven years). I know these facts quite well, as I too used to be rather defensive about my work when I was younger. Over time though, I grew up artistically, and learned to listen what people had to say. I learned that outsiders who aren't as attached to my work as I was, could see (and hear) things with fresh eyes (and ears), and catch what I couldn't due to my being constantly exposed to what I was working on. Sometimes those people were wrong, and sometimes they were right. But this helped me to both learn to step away from my work for a while so I could come at it again with a similar freshness, and to not just outright dismiss the comments of others when they're being constructive with their comments.
Going by how you're responding here, it sounds to me like you haven't reached that point yet. I sincerely hope you do get there at some point, as I believe you'll find it be quite helpful.

Sorry to dissapoint you, but you can't expect to post your music everywhere and get a positive response. You really need to grow up.rodsuleander wrote:BAWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
Just to be fair though, I'll post some of my own music I made myself. Not shmup-inspired, but oh well, I think that works in it's favor

Im going to go on to say I def have to agree with Quoth, it is crap, at least to my ears. It was def flat and un-inspiring at this moment, and sounded like half a product. It needs some major reworking. You guys need some great bass to be added in, along with some general clean up. Get a couple more talents in on your work and try again, and I bet the end product will sound worlds better.

Don't want to pour salt into any open wounds here, but the overall impression is indeed that it's some guitar Reefs with some Thunder Force influence but without any actual tune and (indeed) emotion in them.
Like Spadgy said, i could do the quality you made here if I wanted too, but why not accept some criticism and try to "improve".
And why not listen to the Broken Thunder OST, which may be for a flawed game, but simply is one of the best stuff in the genre.

Ok, I listened to it. The song itself isn't bad, but it's ruined by bad recording. There's no highs and no lows, and all guitars have same sound. This makes it sound "flat". What you should is to switch effects so rhytm guitar has more "lower-mid" sound and lead is sharper.
But what your song lacks the most is the bass. Or to be precise, lack of bass. You simply can't make driving rock song without it, it's just not possible.
For comparison try listening to Carbohydrom - Dual Storm. Hear the difference? That's the bass.
Oh, and

RACISM? What the fuck is wrong with you? Since when is telling someone to record better and stop spamming racism?
