I just tried REmake with Chris and died on the first zombie

:o

Still looks alright even on an LCD via component which is good, I'll get into it again soon I think.

I started a clean file of RE4 in Pro mode and killed Verdugo using my trusty TMP and grenades. Well, 350 TMP bullets, 5 Incendiary, and 2 grenades to be exact. I used the Magnum in my other clean runs, but it's very doable too without it. My first time trying it and it took me only 10 tries :D.

Next time I'm replaying REmake. I need a break from all the white knuckle action.

Edit: dying on the first Zombie . Kinda pathetic unless you were using the knife, which is a stupid idea.

The first zombie in REmake pops up before you have a pistol. I guess you have a knife. You're supposed to run back into the kitchen and have Barry take care of 'im.

Barry isn't in Chris's scenario :)

But yeah, pretty pathetic to die there, even with only a knife, but its not the first time its happened to me lol :)

'foya' haha

I always tried killing the first zombie with the knife, never thought about going back and getting that gun early with chris, I did used to let barry deal with it when I was jill though.

I got dat pistol from the foya
in zombie boxing I'm no De La Hoya

The hilarious thing about the zombie when Barry shoots him is that somehow it (apparently) leaves despite being shot. That's the only RE zombie I can think of that throws in the towel. Or possibly somebody is spying on you (what a surprise!).

In the Saturn version I'm pretty sure the thing is decapped by Barry, its head gets blown right off. I don't remember if the door-slamming is in that version too though.

It takes Barry like three Magnum rounds to decap that zombie in the original. No wonder it got Kenneth.

I like how the remake tried to be more serious, but it has Barry put his finger in the blood and lick it.

Chris: Jesus, Barry, don't let that stop you from rubbing it all over yourself.

Barry is a Terminator he's just looking for John.

Have played:

REmake (the added Lisa Trevor scenario is especially creepy and brilliant)
RE4
RE2
RE5 (argh.. they simplified the RE4 engine even more, this is hardly a RE game anymore. but damn it looks good)
RE: Gaiden
RE: Umbrella Chronicles
RE: Deadly Silence

They should really REmake Gaiden. It's a great, great portable game as it is, except that the boss fight spoils the thing completely: I didn't have enough ammo to win, and the game auto saves to the only saveslot, so the options are to start over or ditch the game (I chose the latter).

The premise is really cool for zombie horror, a cruise ship! It's like those cruise ship missions in X-Com: Terror From the Deep, where you had to seek out the humanoids hiding in ship cabins and blow them away.

Haven't played yet, in the order of expected quality:

--------will play some day---------------
RE3
Code Veronica
RE0
---------won't probably ever ------------
RE Outbreak
RE Outbreak: File 2
RE: Survivor
RE: Survivor 2 Code Veronica
RE: Dead Aim
+ all the mobile games.. waiting for my phone to get N-Gage support, so I could play RE Degeneration.

Movies:

Resident Evil Extinction
Biohazard 4D Executer
Resident Evil Apocalyps
Resident Evil
Resident Evil Degeneration (So useless that I don't even remember anything about this anymore! Except that an airport is a good scene for a zombie-outbreak)
Before Pope John Paul died he decreed that Aliens were also GOD's creatures and we should treat them with respect.
