Importing a Japanese Xbox 360

Hey I'm not much of a poster here on the site but I've been lurking for quite a long time now.

Anyhow, I know a few of you guys have imported JP 360's and I was wondering if you've had any issues getting online in the US with them?

Anything I should know about when recovering my gamertag on it?

Anything I missed?
