Noob question:How do you attach pcb/cps2 games to supergun?
well since im receving my supergun and my first pcb will be strikers 1999.i just want to know how easy is it to connect the pcb to the supergun...Step by Step tutorial would be nice.. and with cps2 games, do the B board lie on top of the A board and where and how does it all connect...as noted, i have no experience in this area at all. thank you kindly.
The cave whore count in this thread is unbelievable!!!
Uhm, jamma. If you haven't put a jamma connector on your supergun you're screwed, bad
See CPS2 Shock for a little CPS2 info.

these are the capabilities of the supergun
- JROK encoder (composite and S-Video, NOT component video)
- stereo/mono switch with audio attenuation circuit
- 2 DB-15 controller ports wired for Neo sticks
- SC200 power supply (good for most stuff, except MVS 6-slots, some 4-slots, and Hyper 64)
- power LED
- ~12-14" long JAMMA harness

strikers 1999 has a big connector on the edge, the supergun has a big plug- that's it.
A and B boards hook together like a sandwich, A board on the bottom (it has the big connector on it).
You'll see it when you get it.
If the plug (JAMMA plug) deosn't have a piece of plastic in the slot that fits the JAMMA connector on the board, (you'll see there's a slot) than make sure you don't put it on upside down (the peice of plastic or 'key' makes sure you don't do that if it's there).
If the jamma plug comes without a key, and isn't labeled 'parts side/ solder side' (parts side it the top of the pcb), then write here before you plug it in so you don't put it on upside down.
(it will probably have a key or be labeled)

my post sounds wierd- i was typing it while you were posting. Anyways, just plug the jamma into the game- you'll see when you've got it all.

Its self explanatory when you get it mate. Don't worry even a 10 year old could figure it out.
If your supergun does not have a key on Pin 7 you better mark your jamma connector so you know which side is up.
Most Jamma PCB's that do not have a GAP for the key are usually bootlegs. Lots of non jamma PCB's have no gap but you would be using adaptors with those anyway.
This is the A/B combination
http://www.system16.com/cybercade/systems/cps2.html
You can clearly see the jamma connector and the key (the gap where pin 7 would normally go, this stops you putting the harness in there upside down). The white plug next to it is for the Kick harness which you can buy here -

Next to that is the audio output for Qsound stereo which you can plug straight into your TV or receiver.
There are 3 switch buttons on the left there (on the side), they are TEST, volume up, volume down.
If you wanting to connect the kick harness you will have to make your own joystick that has 6 buttons for each player as neo geo sticks obviously only have 4 buttons. This only applies to fighters obviously.

This industry has become 2 dimensional as it transcended into a 3D world.
