The threshold must be pretty high. $400+ packages from Play Asia and $800+ PCB orders, and I never got charged.

if its anything like canadian customs it has nothing to do with value or price threshhold.....its basically random.....

ive gotten customs for really cheap stuff, and then had none for high priced items....its just luck usually....i always plan for customs, and i plan for more than it will probably be so im not caught short and if its less or none at all im happy as shit :D

although it appears the US is a little more forgiving on customs...lucky bastards :twisted: :lol:

Must be different in Canada. You can fully insure here with a seperate customs tag which is written by the sender.

Like you I have had packages opened but never been charged any extra based on their value assesment. :(
