What are your intial impressions of Taito's NDS SIE-2?

Post by PC Engine Fan X! »

Seeing that NCSX has already shipped out it's intial alloted shipment of Taito's Space Invaders Extreme 2, what are your intial impressions of it?

Taito has said that it would support it's optional NDS rotary knob controller accessory which is a plus.

It's the trippiest thing I've ever played. Probably next to SIE1.
I'm enjoying this game a LOT. However, the fact that you have two things going on (when you unlock a 'ROUND', it actually happens on the top screen when you still gotta shoot everything else on the bottom screen) is pretty awkward.

Yeah, that'd be awesome if Square-Enix could officially distribute SIE-2 for the USA NDS marketbase like they did with SIE-1. The catch was that they didn't see fit to distribute the cool Taito NDS rotary controller though...bad mistake on their part. Playing with a NDS rotary controller with SIE-1 handles much better than playing with just the NDS's d-pad setup. ^_~

For SFKhoa,

Trying to keep your attention on both NDS screens must be quite a task when playing SIE-2. Glad to hear that it exceeds your expectations of what a SIE sequel should be. ^_~
