For sourdiesel,
You could try to source a generic Gamebox setup that is basically a PC with a Jamma interface mounted on top -- is a two layer PCB setup anyways. It has it's own PC PSU unit to power it up...you would just use your Egret II's RGB monitor and speaker setup for sound. The Gamebox PCB does output in stereo sound (via seperate Left and Right volume pot trim controls mounted on the top PCB layer) but you'd have to use a custom made stereo harness adapter to take advantage of it though. ^_~
It's a matter of taking the internal HDD and hooking it up to another PC and uploading your favorite arcade roms. Reinstall the HDD back into the Gamebox, fire it up and you're good to go. ^_~

You don't have to buy an ArcadeVGA, but it's easier. Soft15kHz is a free app that'll let you use a number of other cards in true arcade resolutions. Google it.

How about RaineEmu or Final Burn Alpha? Any of these that lack the lag? I gave up on MAME totally for a while because the lag drove me insane almost. Also, my (then controller of choice) X-Arcade dual hung in MAME but not in any other emus.thchardcore wrote:Garegga has a well known frame lag issue with the controls in MAME. I suggest you search and pay for a board or rig a saturn into your cab.
2D fighters with lag = horrible
Bullet hell with lag = nightmare

His custom mame version has many modifications, I'm assuming one of which is some slight retooling of the input code.
