JPN Megadrive + PowerBase converter = FM Sound?

Post by Specineff »

Given that an american SMS Rom will play with FM sounds in an emulator if set to Japanese mode, I was wondering if the same can be achieved with a Genesis set to Japan mode, using a Power Base converter and American/Euro cart.

I know some games will default to Japanese text, but playing Space Harrier 3D on RGB with FM sound... would be fantastic. And Power Strike 1... and Wonder Boy 3...

Completely different and incompatible FM sound chips in the Megadrive and the Mark III, sorry.

You want the JPN SMS w/gender adapter for playing some games released in other territories with their FM soundtracks.
