Replacement fan for CPS-2

Post by 8 1/2 »

Any suggestions for a good fan to replace the noisy piece of junk that comes stock?

Papst 612FL is a direct replacement, although you will need to reuse the CPS2 connecting fan wire.

Papst 612F/2 shown here in CPS2 setup - not tried this model myself.

Any suggestions on where to pick one up? I keep finding sites that have minimum order requirements and I just need one for now.

When I did mine I get four from eBay around a year ago.

You can find matching fans here http://www.grebo.eu/arcadegames/shop/index_eng.htm in the "unsorted" category. Not Papst, but I'm betting they are less noisy than stock CPS2 fans.
