This and SFIV may finally make me build my own arcade stick for the 360.

I've just been snooping around the ESRB site, and it's finally been given a rating (it also confirms the publisher as Valcon - I know some gaming sites are still listing Zoo Games as publisher).
I'm hoping that's a good indication it's going to come out next month.

OMFG!

Finally, a shmup to look forward to! I was so disappointed with all the X360 JP only releases...

Finally, something else to use my homemade joystick on! I can't wait till this comes out!

Half of me says "GET IT GAHDAMMIT," half of me says "no, you don't have a good d-pad."

If only I snagged a Fight Pad ASAP...

Are they ever going to be restocked in stores, or do I have to shell out $60 for on on ebay?

I've been using my 360 pad for MAME so I've gotten a bit used to it. I'm just glad this is coming stateside. I'm just glad to play RFJ on my TV, even if it is with a sub par controller.
Feedback will set you free.

haha, I just found out that the publisher (Valcon Games) is located in Redmond, WA which is about 30 minutes from my house. I know there is forum member from Redmond, one of us should stop by their office and personally thank them for bringing this game over to the states.

Valcon have updated their website at last. Still no concrete release date (just "out soon") but RFA is finally up there.

"Play 2-player co-op games offline, or play Arcade Mode as a lone-wolf, posting high-scores and gameclips to Xbox Live®."

Wait, no 2-p online co-op? Is the Japanese version like this too?

They've replaced the filters from the JP version with that one.

How's the D-Pad on that thing? Is it clicky and stiff like the Hori Gamecube pad (one that looks like SNES controller)?

Well, someone asked a question on the Valcon forums regarding the release date and this was the answer...
We're still working through some issues, but should have a final release date in the next week.

What are the chances of this being region locked (ie. doesn't work on JP consoles)?

Not sure of "the chances," but most US games released thus far (though not all) will work on a JP console, so if I had to guess I'd imagine that the odds weren't too bad for this one to do the same. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Oh lordy, there are some cracking comments there - particularly from the ones who've looked at the box art and think it's some kind of flight combat sim.

the box art does kinda make it look like a flight sim though. I gotta pick this up to finally be able to play this without slowdown or to play this without some idiot screaming at me that I suck in the arcade.
