They've seriously skyrocketed in price since the time I purchased mine in 2006. My Mr. Saturn was about $50 or $60.

Here's my latest buys:

Avoiding SF4 until I get something like a stick or fightpad. Shooting Love 200X is the same but I've played it a bit already, and I like it a lot. I've already beaten chaos;head noah and I plan on leaving Spectral Force 3 until very last, since it's a time consuming sRPG.

Despite buying these, I've gone back to play some older games instead. I really should be working on Futari 1.5, but I'm just not interested in it at the moment.

Here's a crappy-quality image I just took with my laptop's built-in webcam:

Just last week I got this Dreamcast (and the DVD of the Fistful of Dollars trilogy that's sitting next to it), it is easily the best system I have ever owned. I just love it! The amount of awesome arcade ports and unique titles is astounding!

In this instance, it will cost more for S&H than said price for actual item. Congrats, rolins. Like the ol' saying goes: Good things comes to those who wait. ^_~

I got a G-shock. Now I don’t have to dig out my cell phone to check the time anymore. I had never heard of these before, thanks Lordstar. It’s one hell of a watch.

Get Jet Grind Radio! btw you do know that you can download all this stuff, right? If you'd like to know where, shoot me a PM.
(PS: no need to get preachy about warez or anything, the discs are out of print anyway, so we couldn't support the developers)

It was good, and the 720p was nice, but there were a few issues I had. For example, the first time you're playing the game, you're restricted to get the not-so-good ending. It's basically 100% linear.

Female routes are unlocked by triggering "delusions" (left/right triggers on the 360 controller) at certain points, which lead to a bunch of yes/no questions. If you answer the questions correctly, it unlocks her route. This is perfectly fine, except for the fact that the majority of the female routes open with the first encounter of the character, which usually is in the first 3 chapters. Their actual route doesn't start until either chapter 7, 8, or 9, and there's no way to skip from 1/2/3-7, so you're forced to RB (turbo skip through text) your way through the game, although it can't be left unattended as you can't skip delusions. This leads to me sitting here, watching my screen as the text and images scroll by until the actual route begins.

Most of the female routes seem to cut the game short. As in, the best ending is still the best ending. I was expecting some information regarding the characters, why they're in that situation, you know, their past. Instead, it's mostly just alternative endings.

I think if you're really interested, you should seek out the PC version and the translation patch. Both good and bad endings have changed slightly for the 360 version, but not to the point where you're missing out on too much. There's also progress on a backport of noah (5pb didn't encrypt the 360 game very well and everything's already been extracted including images, sound, text and even code) but it's still many months to come.

Well to go with the new laptop (very happy with it), I decided since it's a warm runner to buy a laptop cooler - sitting on the carpet wasn't looking wise. I can recommend this highly:

Image

The hard drives are running 5-8 degrees cooler sat on it, even with the fans turned off! Next, a package from Octa-Trade:

Image

Cyber Figure Alice (Aris). It's an augmented reality thing, basically the software uses a webcam (not included) to read the shapes on the cube, cards and wand. You can use them to move around and interact with the virtual maid. It's pretty clever, but it can be quite glitchy in low light rooms. I'm going to put up a page soon explaining how it works and how to get started - I've been staring at a Kanji and Kana lookup most of the day... Also in the package was the Mangekyo Rooms kaleidoscope by Sega Toys.

Image

Fun day.

Another recruit to the Cowon camp, I picked up a 16GB D2+ today. I got too fed up with having to repair the headphone jack on my Sansa e250 every two weeks, and was worried that the accumulation of permanent damage from each breakage will be too serious for me to repair very soon. Seriously, whose bright idea at Sandisk was it to use a surface-mounted headphone jack?

Fiio amp given to me courtesy of Kingbuzzo. Well, the D2 recommendation also came from him. Thanks KB!

If the screen looks weird and bent, it is because I put a protector on it, and did a bad job of it too.

I've been thinking about getting a wire mesh tray for my laptop. Something like a baker's tray to flip upside down (careful application of tape would fix the potential of scratches or slips). An actual cooler seems kinda overkill to me, although I'm not ever setting mine on carpet. When it gets too hot I underclock my laptop (the T7700 seems to generate more heat than even the GPU).
