This post is funny as hell. Justice has been served!
haha, I know it's a bitch to steal from neo-arcadia.
I'll check the site out myself and here's the link for others as well!

Next time the tooth fairy drops by, you gotta make your wish.

On-topic: Not such a bad setup. I'd rather have a slimmer base, but it's probably the best that can be done...I think the space savings on the new LCD cabinets are great, although it seems premature to call it a revolution or a revitalization of the arcade scene.

Waaay down the page, that Haunted Museum game sorta has my attention. Namco's Razing Storm too. I think that black guy just shot a watermelon...somebody's been playing too much HL2 D: (and I've got too many old image macros floating about my empty head)

Elevator Action: Death Parade.
Would be funny to see somebody standing on top of the cabinet - it's shaped like an elevator. Hope they don't pipe in muzak (TM GOING OUT OF BUSINESS SALE) or put mirrors in what I assume are side windows.

I don't know how they can call these cabinets anymore. It looks like a computer desk with a control panel screwed into it and a monitor on top. Why can't they make new lcd cabs as one solid uniform piece?

because it's unnecessary. The only reason 'traditional' cabs are fully enclosed is to protect/cover the exposed CRT tube. With that gone there's no reason to waste the material and weight gain on making an enclosure for empty space. Even some of the newer CRT cabs are barely 'cabinets', they just have a very thin shell around the very short tube.

Also regarding the top monitor, a bit of that is explained here: http://www.arcade-game-sales.com/produc ... 712-1.html

If it's unnecessary, they might as well just stick a tv monitor up on a counter and have a little slot for coins. I'm not saying put an lcd into an Astro City type cab, but more like how the new Taito Viewlix looks. It's sleek and stylish and doesn't waste a lot of space; a solid uniform piece.

I have to say, seeing it tated with 3:4 game, it doesn't look very good. Its to high, and looks like a homemade desk with PC monitor on a platform.
